Bosko, a lot of the hate you see on this board is just a defense mechanism. I daresay there are some people who have tipped over into genuine hatred of this regime, but the vast majority are just trying to protect themselves from getting hurt by another Jets end-of-season debacle. The lashing out at the team is exactly how a guy reacts when he gets his heart broken by his girlfriend. He'll call her all sorts of names and claim he's done with her forever and that he hates her and, actually, he dumped her first. Then they'll kiss and make up. If the Jets win and get in you'll see some posts like "They don't deserve to be in the playoffs and they'll lose the first game". This is just the defense mechanism continuing - defending themselves against getting their heart broken again with a playoff loss. It's understandable that people react that way, especially those that have endured a lot of heartache with this team. They are still fans, just fans that have been hurt a bit too much. Personally, I'm not there yet, but I have had my dark moments! I'll be desperately hoping for a Bills win and then a barnstorming effort from the Jets to win a division title. Can't wait...
Shit no, I aint reading ur BS Bosko...Your thread title was good...But I aint reading those 10 page crap you typed...hell, thats longer than the declaration of Independence!
U don't want to read it because you're one of those sorry excuse for a fan rooting for chad and the phins.
yes Even when we suck, we beat the Fish! Oh, yeah, and Chad does come through in big games, oh, wait, no he doesnt. GO JETS! im pumped, and they will hear me there tomorrow!
Good analogy. And you know what- it's easier to get angry at them when they develop a boil on their face and arent so nice to look at- a boil right on the mangina! :breakdance:
I don't hate the Jets. I hate the way the Jets have been playing and I hate the thought of the Jets somehow winning on Sunday, resulting in the Jets missing the playoffs and the Patriots getting in.
Over 40 years of disappointment makes some of us jaded, especially the way this team just collapsed and lost games to bad teams down the stretch. This is not 2002 or the 2007 Giants when those teams got hot at the end. This reminds me more of 1994 or 1997 or 1986 when a seemingly good team just faded at the end. The promise of what could have been after the Titans win has been tempered by the debacle of the past 5 weeks. What is encouraging to you? The only bright spot is that the Jets still have a chance, but there is nothing - NOTHING to take from the last 5 games that indicates that this team has a chance to make noise in the playoffs. The QB stinks and now is telling us his arm hurts, the receivers can't get open, the coaches refuse to run the ball, the OL is getting leaky, the pass rush has disappeared, the DBs can't cover anything. What looks good?
That may be the rant of the year Bosko. I didn't read the whole thing as you get the point quick. Screw the Dolphins, I hope the Jets win by 50. Enjoyed watching the Monday Night Miracle last night. Who said the Football Gods don't smile on the Jets from time to time. That game is proof that they do. And maybe they will again Sunday.
