lol that's straight out of the Parcells underplay it manual. Bowles may be 'boring' copy for the media but what counts is he's already shown he's willing to get off color behind closed doors when the situation calls for it. And yes there's a lot of substance there too.

When you look at Bowles speak you see the eye of the tiger in him. And he describes the adversary in such a precise, complete, objective way. That guy is one worthy opponent...he doesn't have to say it...you can see it in him

That's such a wonderful way to express the reality and aspirations of a football team. The first time I heard that it sent chills up my spine because that's how winning coaches think. Only a few of them will say it though. It's so basic that it's easy to overlook.
