It wasn't "a lot." Manesh whipped up a story from a very small number of murmorings, gathered over a matter of weeks, and the one guy that said "terrible." It's been pretty much confirmed that all season long, he ran nothing but Tebow package plays in practice.
This is something I agree with you on. This team doesn't have the environment conducive to winning and developing players. I hope sanchez get traded somewhere with a chance to succeed
Un-freaking-real. 1) First he's signed with huge fanfare (press conference to announce the BACKUP QB?) 2) Then he's misused all year 3) Some "anonymous" players call him "worthless" 4) Unsurprisingly the season gets flushed down the toilet and now those same players are wondering if he "got a fair shot"? No s**t, Sherlock? Can we bring back Rich Kotite now?
That ain't a "fact." Nobody knows if it would have meant going to the playoffs or not. You may feel strongly that Tebow would have done better and got them there, that that is opinion, not fact. What a dumb statement. But such is the myopia of Tebowmania. A kid just running around flying by the seat of his pants is simply going to take the Jets to the playoffs. Right.....
It all ready happened . And I believe that Tebow taking a knee after every snap would have been an improvement over Sanchez
You have no idea if it's the same player(s) that called him terrible who is(are) now wondering if he got a fair shot.
At least we would know the opposition would have gotten the ball from a punt and not a turnover. Our defense would have better field position to work with.
My bad. So your best case scenario is a divided locker room where some players hate the QB and others think he's being mistreated. Right, I can see why that would have prevented the season from getting flushed. And where is Rex in all of this? The quintessential "player's coach", everybody loved playing for him... why is he not shutting all this rubbish down? He might be a lame duck, whatever, but he's still the coach. Stomp down on this rubbish now. These are the days when I wish for Darth Hoodie's "nobody-talks-but-me" approach. Heck, I'd even put up with his mumbling, eye-glazing, information-free press conferences if I didn't have to hear this stuff coming out of the locker room on a weekly basis.
This is provably true, by the way. Sanchez's passer rating in the Titans game was 32.6. If he had just spent the whole game spiking every snap into the ground for 0 yards gained, his passer rating would have been 39.6. It's almost like we were playing a team with the Waterboy on it.
Thanks. For those that didn't get it, it was a crowd shot on NBC immediately after the Buttfumble. Kinda captured the mood of the entire season in one shot -- "What the heck just happened here"?
One thing is for sure, sanchez playing Qb kept us out of the playoffs! Atleast Tebow wasn't a bag like taco is. I would bet anything our offense would have scored more points even if they were all field goals! We would also have a winning record. I just can't see how nacho lovers claim they understand the game of football! Sancho is an utter joke! Total puss, who probably couldn't be a good Qb if he played middle school ball right now!
Tebow did not geta fair shot, and Rex sabotaged the season to prove a point to Woody. A house cleaning will be done in 3 weeks or less.
I had a hole in once in 04' doesnt mean i will get another one. sanchez sucks...unfortunately tebow is worse.
