I further edited my post, btw.

They both aren't exactly top notch Kickers but they are certainly serviceable. Its good to bring Folk some real competition for once, Novak last year was iffy in camp (although he was solid with the Chargers), Brown should give Folk a real run for his money.

If Brown beats our Folk in camp he becomes an upgrade.

And he had a bad year even though he is kicking in a dome. You never know though, he may come in and do a great job. It wouldn't take too much to outdo Folk.

Folk or Brown neither are better then average but brown is prob better. I wish we would get a top tier kicker with the way we play football

I don't really understand why you would sign one average kicker to compete with another. It's not like there's any real difference between the two except Brown is better from 50+ and Folk is better from 30-39. That seems like a wash to me.

If the Jets were upgrading with a machine that's one thing but trading in one guy who doesn't wow you for another just feels like treading water.

It's kind of like adding one clutch QB who had problems in the first half to compete with another clutch QB who has problems in the first half. Guess what? You're still going to have problems in the first half.
