This sucks fucking snow is gonna delay the visit.The league shouldnt allow him to visit with the Cowboys until he meets with us.I really wanted this guy .Mercedes Lewis was cut by Jax after they signed ASJ because Mac rather spend his money and low ball our talent instead of paying guys in house.Mac should set up a visit with him to.
I've liked Allen Hurns since dating back to his Miami Hurricane days. He's still only 26 years of age with great size for a WR as well. He'd look really nice in Green and White alongside the likes of Anderson, Enunwa and Kearse. None of those 4 are true NFL Stud WR's in regards to star power but all 4 can play ball and all help out any QB.
If Hurns signs with the Cowboys, would Jets fans want Dez Bryant? He has been disappointing the last couple years to say the least. The Jets have the Cap Space for his $12.5 million contract for 2018 and 2019 though. Jets could trade a 6th round pick for the Cowboys 2nd round pick and Dez Bryant. I would consider it.
I prefer to see them take a flier on Terelle Pryor. Dude looked like the second coming of Megatron vs Revis in 2016.
Hurns just reminds me of Eric Decker 2.0 but less of a technician and just slightly more athletic. If Q doesn't progress (I firmly think he will) any from where he was in 2016 he's just a better version of Hurns anyways and he's already on the roster. I agree with WarriorRB28, I would rather take a flyer on Pryor and what he looked like he was developing into in Cleveland. I had Pryor on a lot of fantasy teams in 2017 when he was with Washington and watched him closely as I had a lot of stock invested into him. There had to be some behind the scenes disconnect and mental obstacle he was dealing with, concentration was lacking and Cousins rarely looked for him. But if he can put it together Julio Jones is probably the best size to athleticism comparison. However, his vertical isn't even close to Julio's (31" < 42") but Julio is the best leaper in the NFL but otherwise very close. To even think that "Julio light" is the ceiling for this guy when Hurns just is who he is, which is a slightly above average NFL talent. He's a larger more physical Jermaine Kearse. EDIT: My reasoning is we have a roster full of "Hurns" but we don't have a "Julio" that #1. Maybe it could be Q or Robby, I would say Q has the better shot if he's healthy but they both have limitations, Q's being speed and Robby's being size. If we could fuze them into a single player we would be good to go! But Q if he doesn't progress, Kearse, Hansen, Peake, that's 4 "Hurns" on the roster already. Throw Hansen out there and see what he's got before we sign the exact same guy.
Last I read it's down to Seattle or Jets for Pryor. Which means he'll sign with Seattle unless we're offering him substantial 1-year $. Hope Hurns makes his visit today.
