as far as my predictions go, it's like i've been saying all along. i think people over evaluate the talent on this team. this team is rebuilding and some people expect too much after seeing us go 10-6 last year. #1) the jets will not make the playoffs this year. #2) the jets will take a step back to reallity and be 8-8 or 9-7 at best this year. #3) the jets running game will not be improved with thomas jones, b/c of the oline. lets just hope he makes it through the season uninjured. #4) the defense, although better with revis and harris, will see no major improvement until defensive line is rebuilt.(about where we were last season) #5) with the tougher schedule(not to overlook the bad oline), penny shows he's not capable of taking this team to the next level. hense, clemens gets his shot sometime during this season to take away the job from noodle arm. lets hope, please be the future!!! otherwise, we're screwed for a few more years till we find the future.. all and all, the jets are a middle of the pack team, talent and record wise!!! ok dump away...
Oh, I was just wondering if there was someone in particular you were thinking about I generally dont assess talent in my tc stuff, I just try to report what is going on. I wasnt sure if there was something in the report you were thinking of. I know last year I was raving about Leon from the first week of tc, and said he'd have a great season, as well as Rhodes, who i had immediately noticed came into camp like a beast (last year). This year, I mentioned that I believe Cotch will have a huge season if they get him the ball enough. i also think Revis is a baller, and I'll stick with that. The QB thing isnt a talent thing anyway. I have posted on JN a bunch of times that I am merely supporting Mangin's decision on who to start at QB. If he said tomorrow that Clemens was starting, I'd support that too, without any reservations. Mangini succeeded at turning around a lot of things in one year after the edwards era, and I'll bow to his assessments and decisions.
#1) the jets will not make the playoffs this year.(Herm Edwards got there three time with less-Mangini will do it ) #2) the jets will take a step back to reallity and be 8-8 or 9-7 at best this year.(Sounds like what we heard last year-how did that turn out) #3) the jets running game will not be improved with thomas jones, b/c of the oline. lets just hope he makes it through the season uninjured.( With the combination of T Jones and Leon Washington that will also not happen) #4) the defense, although better with revis and harris, will see no major improvement until defensive line is rebuilt.(about where we were last season)(carolina had the same assesment put on them and their unit solidfied and then was dubb as a Good defense) #5) with the tougher schedule(not to overlook the bad oline), penny shows he's not capable of taking this team to the next level. hense, clemens gets his shot sometime during this season to take away the job from noodle arm. lets hope, please be the future!!! otherwise, we're screwed for a few more years till we find the future..(The Chad bashing has been done already - a good Quarter back finds a way to win-Chad is a winner!) Have some faith! Lay your Fears down. Walk with your team . walk with us !
i do every year, just not expecting what some others are. i think another draft or most likely two, before we can reallistically compete with the elite. and thats if they have stellar drafts and clemens is what they were hoping he would be. i enjoyed last season very much, even though i thought they way overachieved. come playoff time, i didn't have any wild unreallistic expectations like some, and was satisfied with the season they had. as i said, they over achieved!! this year, with the tougher schedule, i see a regression.. but not all bad....

I don't get this, you finally have a position of stength so we go away and rid ourselfs of it? Really, Dyson was amazing last season, why get rid of him. Dyson is so much better than Barrett.
There is negative and then there is joesmoe39. Seriously, he cannot possibly be a Jets fan, can he? If he somehow is a Jets fan and he is this negative- go to therapy or just stop watching pro football.
