Coleman's not better than anybody. I'm more scared of him divulging information to the Pats than I am of him playing against us.
I remember the draft thread when we picked him. I think it was the year we traded our 1st for Doug Jolley, and never thought he would fall to us with our 2nd (we needed a corner & he was projected to go in the early 20s). We had a countdown once the end of the 1st came around, all hoping somehow we would get him--"4 more picks, Miller still there!" I'm not sure I remember the board being so united on a pick.
Very sad how possible it is that at the end of this season, we might not have anyone left on the roster from the first 2 rounds of the very recent 2005 draft. Then again,......the same is true for 2004 & 2003.
He was great as a kick returner, so we got something out of it. Now we have Leon so it's not really necessary to keep him just for that.
I don't know but I'd love to see a text message from champ. I'd say 10-1 you can't make any sense of it at all.
Westhoff as ST coach. Brad smith and Wright gunning down on the kickoffs. I'll take my chances against almost anyone. Hester and Cribbs are the two that scare me.
I have to wonder how much speed Miller still has after shredding his knee. Because that was really the only thing the guy ever really had. His ball skills and general ability as a DB were zero. All the guy could do is run fast.
He was as much a CB as Devin Hester is, which is not much. As soon as his return skills were no longer needed he didn't have a place on this team. I have a feeling he'll go elsewhere and make a pretty good living as a returner.
He was up there with those too when it came to kickoff returns the only reason we don't have him on the team now is that Leon is just as good and he serves more of a purpose. Remember he was a Pro Bowler as a KR.
I've wondered that myself since the injury. There's always another faster guy coming out of college with no knee problems.
I do remember. I just not sold on the fact that he has it left in the tank after knee surgery and that our ST's are very, very solid.
I keyed in on Miller during one my visits to TC this past summer, and I remember thinking that he looked skinnier than usual, slower than usual, and seemed to be walking with a slight limp. I would guess he never fully recovered from the injury. Too bad, although he was never much of a corner anyways.
