I dont get all the confusion... The guy says he feels great, and as Jet fans we should feel positive. However the only way to tell if he will play better or worse is gametime action. So until he plays a snap, I'm happy for him and hoping this translates into a great season for us. I know if Lebron James said he feels great and this is the best hes ever felt, I would be excited for him if he was on our team, and not too happy if I was an opponent.
This is a fan forum. If everyone had to have qualifications to post opinions, nobody would be allowed to post opinions here. The OP posted a thread claiming Osemele is in amazing shape. I'm skeptical of how well Osemele's weight loss is going to turn out. Make of it what you will.
I'm skeptical about everything you've posted and every conclusion you've drawn on this topic with the exception of your last two sentences here - no problem at all there!
And the claim I made is 100% accurate. He is in amazing shape and at a weight he hasn't been for years. Whether YOU believe the Keto diet is beneficial or not for him, is YOUR opinion. As I said, I could give a fuck what diet he's on. If he is in great shape and is focusing on being a better player from his nutrition down to his playing ability, then as a Jets fan, I am excited for him. What's remarkable is that a guy can show how much effort he has put in and is feeling great at a weight he feels most comfortable at, and yet we have fans complaining and critiquing his fuckin diet. I posted this thread to show all the work he has put in, considering almost every Jets writer has been talking about it and posting about it. I also encourage you to read the article and read what everyone has been saying about him, in the locker room, etc.
It is relevant because you stated that he is now involved in what YOU referred to as a "fad" diet. It is not a fad diet. It's a scientifically backed diet that has been in existence for 80+ years and was developed for the purpose of fixing epilepsy, a medical condition.
Mods, if you want to close this thread, I understand completely. My intention was to talk about our future starting guard showing up to training camp in great shape. I did not intend for this to be about a diet, nor did I think fans would be criticizing the man for dropping weight and getting himself in better shape. Fuckin ridiculous
If he feels like he’s in great shape then it’s hard to argue with him. 330 to 296 is a massive drop though. We’ll all just have to wait to see how it plays out on the field.
Don't do that. We're here to have discussions even if some don't like the direction they turn sometimes.
Random guy approaches luxurious conference room. I'm guarding the door. Guy: What's going on in there? Me: Who wants to know? Guy: I thought I heard yelling. Me: So? Guy: It sounds like grown men arguing about another man's diet. Me: And? Guy: Why on earth are they doing that? Me: That's classified, sir. Can I see your TGG identification? Guy: My what? Me: Please move along. Guy: But-- Me: Fuck off, I said.
I'd rather a player be in good shape while being aware of the foods he's digesting into his body as an athlete, rather than an undisciplined slob such as D. Robertson who was a slouch and a weak link. Not sure what's to argue about here. The man says he feels great better than ever and has pictures to prove it; the only thing that matters is that he's currently healthy, feels great, only 29 years of age, was a stud in college, started every game @ RT for Baltimore during their SB run and replaced an injured teammate at LG throughout their playoff run/SB win; we've got ourselves a 2x Pro Bowler and an 1x First-team All-Pro for Darnold/Le'Veon (despite Maccagnan critics who kill him for not passing on Leonard/Adams/Darnold/Quinnen for O-Lineman). This was a great offseason acquisition I'd say a B+ with potential to become A+ right out the gates for our offense. I love the tackle out of USC too. Maccagnan not getting enough credit here. 3rd round. Has a lot of maturity questions but come on he's a kid who was in a college environment. But now he's a professional football player; clean slate with me moving forward. Maybe Darnold a former teammate promised Maccagnan/Gase this kid will keep his nose clean and protect me. Who knows, but it does blow my mind how a RT in college for USC could go an entire sason without giving up not only a single sack... But not a single QB hit allowed/given up. That's crazy to me that's pound for pound a 1st round grade but yet he's selected during the 3rd due to being a kid at a party school making some mistakes... Sounds like Macc went for a steal here.
Would you say that to his face in a dark parking lot and call him "fat boy" to his face? If I were you, and I don't know you, but I wouldn't. I've seen a video of him in a club where he made Darron Lee look like a ragdoll. Not sure what all the Leonard Williams criticism is about. Any SB contending team would love to have him. He's not a 4-3 DE nor a 3-4 OLB so sacks aren't his only responsibility but the fact that he's ranked like top 3-5 in QB hits just goes to show he's a great asset. Receiving help with Quinnen will make him so much more dominant within the trenches. Fat boy needs a diet my ass Leonard Williams is an NFL household name and analysts truly of love him; only Jet fans don't. He'd be a welcomed addition to any playoff/SB contending team.
Pretty sure the Jets were aware that Osemele was around 296. He posted the video Feb 12, the Jets acquired him in March. He fits their blocking scheme. The guy feels great , looking great, now let's hope it translates to the gridiron...he sure is motivated for it to do so.
I was joking too just took an opportunity to talk up one of my favorite players he's the reason why I absolutely love the Quinnen pick. I feel Q will make it easier for Leonard to dominate the trenches more than any player drafted could because of Leo the selection of Quinnen Williams is A+++ And back to K.O he's got playoff/SB experience as a starter during his rookie year at both RT & LG. 29 years of age. 2x Pro Bowler. 1x First-team All-Pro. An NFL starting O-Lineman to work hard for Darnold/Le'Veon and feeling/looking better than ever health wise. One of the most underrated off-season moves. Because while fans criticize and check Macc as GM regarding our O-Line I hardly see them giving him credit for a 29 years of age All-Pro and multiple pro bowler.
