I don't think the Bentley deal is bad since I think a center is more valuable than a guard (harder to find). Also it wasn't too long ago that the Jets gave 5+ mil per for Mawae in free agency. Bentley's deal was a touch high, but for a 2 time pro-bowler who is only 26 it's a deal I would have done.

The FO is superb not paying those guys.

If you pay someone those type of contracts who are not veterans in your team, your players will demand more money and it will spread like falcons trolls.

    Great job FO.

What FA's did the previous regime overpay for? They got back into cap trouble by giving their own big deals. I am loving what we are doing so far(although I still think we could have squeezed a bit moe out of Atl) but the Jets haven't overspent on FAs in a long time.

The actual clause was if Steve was not the highest paid lineman on the team in 2006 then the whole contract would be guaranteed. Hutch will be the highest paid lineman on the Vikings next year, which would not make his whole contract guaranteed. But the Viking knew the Seahawks would not match the offer sheet, because Walter Jones was the highest paid lineman on the Seahawks..................

I think it was a briiliant move by the Vikings..................
