great news, the jets just went from cap hell to somewhere around 20-25 million under the cap how great is that.
Here's a question though; is this plan they are in agreement on already approved by the NFLPA? Or is this just to be approved by the owners, then sent over to Upshaw for a denial?
Mike T is the god of the Jets. He got us out of cap hell. If were successful in free agency the draft and this season Mike T and Mangini are saviors of the Jets.
The percentages are already worked out with Upshaw and the Players Association. The owners are working out revenue sharing among themselves and then voting on the total package.
I missed most of the scrolling message, but they just had something on NFL Network saying to tune in at 8:30 for a "Breaking News" story. Heads up if you want to tune in and see what's going on. EDIT: Just saw it, it said Jerry Jones came out of the owners meeting room to tell everyone that a decision on whether the Owners will accept the deal or not will be made at approximately 8:30.
Im not ready to call them saviors but i am ready to give woody johnson credit 4 getting rid of bradway and handing over the franchise to Mike T
I said if all goes well in the rest of the off-season and this season that we call him the savior of the fanchise. So far hes doing a great job. We were 26 Million over the cap now were 25 million. How good is that?
I really do have to hand it to Tanny. I knew he was going to help us in the cap war, but I never expected us to be sitting comfortably going into free agency this year. The man is a total genius. I am excited to see what Mangini can do with the talent now.
Awesome news...I can't wait to be excited about the NFL saving itself and for the Jets having 10 Million more dollars to spend...I think a guy like Lavar Arrington could now be signed...come be our Willie McGinest Lavar
Here we go. Free agent signings and trades (John Abraham) galore. I'm extremely happy the deal went through.
