That's true. We did choose Vilma over Wilfork which made sense at the time because we had just picked up DeWayne Robertson the year before as a 4-3 DT. Wilfork wouldn't have been an ideal fit in Herm's Defense but would have been perfect for Mangini. That's yet another problem with always changing coaching regimes. You overhaul the schemes and all of a sudden great players are out of place.
