    That's true. We did choose Vilma over Wilfork which made sense at the time because we had just picked up DeWayne Robertson the year before as a 4-3 DT. Wilfork wouldn't have been an ideal fit in Herm's Defense but would have been perfect for Mangini.

    That's yet another problem with always changing coaching regimes. You overhaul the schemes and all of a sudden great players are out of place.

    There are 256 players who get drafted every year. The Jets are bound to pass on many players who turn out to be good pros.

    That being said, selecting Bryan Thomas instead of Ed Reed will always haunt me.
    Oh, and Brad Smith was taken in the same round as Brandon Marshall.
