It might be when you learn how to read and comprehend what you are reading.. Nowhere, not once, have I said he is the sole reason. But he is the major reason. Sole and major are not the same thing. But when people talk about why oh why cant we win, and then start talking about giving Sanchez another year, it becomes clear that they do not comprehend how important winning is and how bad our qb is. Then it becomes, well, we went to 2 AFCCG's as though that is the end goal. That becomes proof of Sanchez being able to win. It becomes a question of ignoring his abilities and why the team reached the AFCCG and the fact that in one year the playoff run was a fluke, and in a 2nd, it had to be done as a 6th seed (primarily because of Sanchez, who could not beat teams like the Ravens in the regular season). So, you want to call it trolling, whatever. But please, please, please, shut the fuck up about wanting to win a SB if you are going to say Sanchez should even take 1 snap for the New York Jets next season. And that is not an en extreme position, that is just logical.
It's extreme to think it's an impossibility to win the SB while Mark Sanchez is QB. Call it unlikely, and I still think a sizable portion of the fanbase will disagree.
No, it really isn't. Mark Sanchez is never winning a Superbowl. I have posted this before, but including this SB, 10 of the last 12 SB winners will have been elite qb's. And even going back to the 80's and 90's, who won SB's? Guys like Elway, Favre, Montana, Young, Aikman, etc.. It wasn't mediocre to awful qb's (which seems to be the consensus here of what Sanchez is). So, the question becomes, if people want to win, and most realize that he is a guy with flaws who at best might crack the top 10, what the hell are we doing here? The day after Peyton Manning was cleared, why is everyone not clamoring for Manning? What is the point of wasting another season, or two, on Sanchez, when most people who want to give him another year or two dont even have faith that he will ever be great. I just dont get this notion. It's quite simple to me: 1. You are a fan who wants the Jets to win the SB and dont give a shit how it happens. 2. You are a fan who likes following players from the draft and seeing them develop, and while you would like to win a SB, you are all about "building" and "player development" 3. You are a fan who enjoys homegrown talent, and loves rooting for guys like Revis and Harris, but when the team is close and can get a player to put them over the top, you throw loyalty aside, and want the team to do what it can to win. People think that I am in the 1st category, but I hate the Redskin model. I am actually a number 3 kind of guy. I like following guys and seeing them develop, but I dont want guys here just because I have already invested years following them. If the team is good enough, and I think it is, if a guy is holding them back, I dont want to keep giving him chances, and want to get the guys in here who will compliment what we have, and take us to a SB...
You are the most ignorant asshole on this forum. Congrats. There should be an award for that, I would surely vote for you. Your argument is so flawed, its actually kind of comical. Its also funny how everything is so simple in your mind, while the majority of people here think that your opinion is way too extreme and flawed. First off, let me ask you this, since franchise QB’s that win SBs grow on trees, who would you plan on having as QB instead of Sanchez? Peyton Manning. Right? Yeah... well we better get really lucky considering this guy tends to choke in the playoffs and has only won won SB while making the playoffs 10 or so times in his career. Thats a great percentage I must say. Also, as far as your 10 our of the last 12 SB winning QBs, I would consider 7 Elite. Maybe 8 if you are stretching it. And for your 80s and 90s QBs, Favre won 1 SB, Elway won 2 at the ages of 37 and 38 (how many years did it take him to win one...hmmmm) and Aikman had a mediocre first 5 seasons (which is being generous). Also- for personal interest- are you a fucking fortune teller that can see into the future? Because if so, whats the winning lottery numbers for next week? Im just asking this because you state that Sanchez will never win a SB as a fact, so Im assuming you can see into the future. So since Sanchez hasnt won a SB yet, neither will Matt Schaub, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Phillip Rivers, Tony Romo, Michael Vick... Then all of their teams should also pursue Peyton Manning too then
So what exactly was your point when you posted two videos of Hunter giving up immediate pressures and then wrote "Try to find that from Patriots protection or Saints protection"? My understanding was that you were stating your opinion that the Patriots' and Saints' offensive lines never look THAT bad, and that Sanchez was rarely at fault for his sacks. I was simply countering that point by proving that two isolated clips prove nothing. I can make Brady's protection look just as bad. At least one person did: Nope, two: It seemed to me like you were continuing this argument. If I misunderstood, I apologize.
I doubt you could define ignorant, or most of the words you use, so I cant take half of what you post seriously. And unlike you, I at least can comprehend what you say, and respond to that without attacking you as a poster. But hey, to each their own apparently. You talk about 1 out of 10 for Manning. And you are right. Manning has a poor percentage, but no qb wins 100% of the SB's, or even 50%. Truth be told, most qb's are lucky to win 25% of the SB's they are capable of winning. Why? Because the playoffs are 1 loss and you are done. That takes us back to ignorant, and while you go look up the meaning, you will find that it is you who is ignorant. Because with the playoff system and the fact that there are between 5 and 8 great qb's in the NFL right now, saying Manning has only 1 SB is not a knock on him. It just shows that there are other great qb's, and his team has never been that great. He has never had a defense half as good as the Jets defense. His offensive lines have been good but not great as well. So, to someone knock him based on that is just inexcusable. And who you consider elite is irrelevant. The fact is of the last 12 winners, teams led by Brady (3x), Rapist (2x), Manning (1x), Rodgers (1x), Manning (1x) and Brees (1x) have won it all, and this year will be one of those guys again. So, you have either had an all-time qb, or a top 10 qb win the SB in over 80% of the last 12 seasons. And, no teams like the Falcons and Texans should not pursue Manning because they have good qb's. The Ravens in all honesty should pursue Manning. Lastly its not being a fortune teller. If you polled every NFL player, coach, exec.., you think more than 5% think Sanchez is good enough to win the SB? That was the knock on the Jets coming into 2010 and 2011, and it will be the knock on the Jets if they start 2012 with him as the QB. The Jets talk a big game, but have a mediocre qb, at best, who cant back up what his coach talks about.
It's pretty cool that we have our very own oracle here on TGG who already knows what's going to happen in the future. Can you tell me who's gonna win the SB so I can lay a fat bet down?
Milcus can defend himself, but I will make the general observation here that many people say something is not going to happen when they mean it is highly unlikely that it will. Or the opposite as well, to be sure. It's really saying something more than more likely than not, but less than a 100% certainty, imo. Something closer to say beyond a reasonable doubt, but in fact probably even not that degree of certainty.
Ha. That funny. And there you go again making an ass out of yourself by making assumptions that once again, end by attacking me as a poster because I dont agree with your view. The funny thing is that you say you dont attack me as a poster, yet the only reason why a really dont like you is because you told me to suck on Sanchez’s dick simply because I didnt agree with you. I am by no means a Sanchologist or whatever the fuck you call it. I do NOT think he played that well this year. But I also look at the whole team, and see that NO ONE in the organization held their own. So there you go, reading comprehension- I stated my opinion and you told me to suck Sanchez’s dick. This all started with YOUR poor reading comprehension and your arrogant knee jerk reactions to whoever doesnt agree with you. I mean you can say whatever you want with how I dont know what ignorant means or that I cant comprehend reading because thats simply not true; you’re just making yourself look like an ass. So Manning having a 1/10 SB winning percentage while in the playoffs is good? He is the best regular season QB of all time, yes. But there is no denying that he has not played up to elite standards in the playoffs. I mean for his only SB win, he had a 70.5 rating and 3 tds and 7 ints in the playoffs. He only got to his 1st SB in his 8th year. He was 0-7 in reaching a SB up until then, Sanchez is 0-3. You say you are a true fan since all you want to do is win a SB... but Manning has a track record of playing below his ability when he is in position to do just that. Sanchez has never had the weapons Manning has. Nor has he had the same great offensive mind as an OC that Manning had. I am by no means saying Sanchez is comparable to Manning, or even that he can be a great QB, Im just pointing out the other side of the story.
He has stated unequivically that Sanchez WILL NEVER win a Superbowl. Not sure how you get ''unlikely'' or ''less than 100%'' out of that. I usually don't agree with your posts either but at least you state your opinions in a reasonable manner without claiming that everything you say is a cold hard fact and anyone who doesn't agree is crazy - theres a big difference.
what a pointless thread. NO QB is effective under pressure, singling Mark out is ridiculous I can't believe the depth of hatred for Mark, this type of hate isn't because of football, it comes from the heart
I guess I made a mistake there - I was under the impression that Brady was almost always kept clean from his protection. Obviously he took a lot of beating this season, unlike the two years before that, when he was sacked 16 times (2009) and 25 times (2010). Of course we don't know what portion of the sack goes to Brady and what portion of that goes to his OL; my Patriots friends always told me that Brady made their OL look much better than they really were. But that aside, it is clear that Sanchez is not the QB that Brady is. To say the pressure Sanchez faced is worse than the pressure Brady had to face is borderline ludicrous, even if it only refers to this year's case. Sanchez was never sacked more than twice a game (on average) in any of the two previous seasons - and while there were times when he shined, there also were a lot of moments where he just plain sucked. I maintain that most of that is due to the moron Schottenheimer, so we will see how Sanchez improves this year. And NO. Sacks are usually half credit to the front guys, and half credit to the coverage guys - meaning, the blame is also half OL and half QB. It applies in case of Sanchez too. There were moments when he had no shot whatsoever, and then there were times when he had more than ample times and still he ate the dirt. Apology taken; I didn't make myself clear there anyway.
Like Ray Lucas said "tough to throw it when you are on your back". Kate Upton though is a different situation.
Sanchez has some pretty damn good weapons last year and still posted a solid QB rating of 75! Youre definitely a Sanchologist or at least it seems that way with every post you make seems like you are trying to defend a bottom of the league QB. Youre right up there with Jets4lyfah. I hope BS does well with the Rams this year to show people like you and a ton of others that he wasnt the main problem here, it is Sanchez....
Yeah. You are most definitely right. I am a Sanchologist. Yup. I think he was a great pick and that he is going to be a great QB. Sorry man, but you are far off. I simply want to see what he can do with a new coordinator and a new RT for a year. Honestly, is that too much to ask for? I mean for god-sakes, is this what this fan base has come to. I will be the first one to admit Sanchez did not have a good year, especially towards the end. But the WHOLE TEAM had a bad year too, and collapsed towards the end. I mean if you cant understand that receivers werent get separation, the FO wasnt bringing in proper personnel (obvious when Mangold got injured), that the coaching staff wasnt doing their jobs, the OL wasnt playing up to their caliber (our “pro bowl” LT got lit up by Andre Carter, a FA off the street), our RBs werent creating big plays or playing well, our LBs werent fast enough, our safeties werent able to cover the TE... the list goes on. SANCHEZ DID PLAY POORLY (I capitalized it so that it stands out for you). He did. I dont think anyone here will say he had a good year. But that goes for the whole team. I honestly dont get the discrepancy when saying this. I mean, this was a TEAM collapse, and not just one a t the QB position. And honestly, if you cant see that Schotty was bad at his job, then Im sorry.
He tries to force the ball into ridiculous coverage when he is pressured. That or he takes ridiculous sacks instead of just throwing it away. Some completions this year I was still pissed that he made the throw even though it was caught. I just wish he was more poised under pressure.
Don't bother man. It's only the team when we win and Sanchez when we lose. You might as well be arguing with jetsown22 right now.
Not sure if serious.... You're actually trying to defend that mental-midget-of-an-Offensive-Coordinator????? :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: So you're saying that Mark Sanchez will NEVER win a Superbowl then? Oh by the way, nice to see Milcus get a TWO-WEEK VACATION. Maybe he and jetsown22 can go on a similar get-away that Mark and Tone will do.
