Reggie Nelson is the man for us. However, Im guessing he doesnt want to sign with us because we havent heard anything... Hopefully something changes....
Thank You....he has a rep as a dirty player and with the league the way they are cracking down and bounty gate we dont need that.
Liked Meriweather coming out of Miami, glad he didnt come to NY he's fallen off the map since, Landry or Nelson now.
It seems like we are now competing with the Pats, Eagles and Bengals now for the next safety signing. Landry is getting interest from both the PHI and NE and Nelson from CIN and PHI.
I keep saying it but I'm sure more S will be on the market when teams start cutting guys lose. I look at it this way, anyone has to be an upgrade over last season. IMO Leonhard is re- signed and we pick up either Nelson or Landry. We'll be ok.
Please bring in nelson we don't have a choice now unless we want all our depth at cb to go to waste with safeties who can't cover or watching rookies make mental errors
I think they have a handshake deal with Jimmy Leonhard and he will be brought back at some point. You can draft a couple guys in the middle rounds to compete at S.
If he is signed no bitching about the contract as he is going to be overpaid by someone. It may take 4MIL a year to get him now with Lowery and Meriweather signed at 3.5MIL and 3MIL respectively. The one positive is that Cincy is cheap so they won't get in a bidding war for him which might hold his price down. Don't know who else is interested.
this off season is really starting to suck, we need a safety fast...would be nice to bring in some o line help also
We don't need o-line help, Sanchez made the o-line look worse than it really was. I don't know why people keep bringing that up.
This might be the single most laughable comment I've ever seen on this forum, which is saying a lot. Go look at the tape of the Baltimore game.
I think the poster is just trying to rile everyone up? Everyone on the board knows that topic has been beaten to death. Also agree Merriweather was a dirty player that got away with it. He led with his helmet a lot, and didn't seem to have any problem to continually do it.
