My father visited tonight. I told him I have an Oliver Perez card. He replied, "Lucky you." Then he said I should frame it and put it on the wall.

Mets DFA Nieve after the game. He was so good early on, but our amazing manager over used him 20 games into the season and he sucked ever since.

Meh - he was never all that great. He was overused, of course, but even in those first 20 appearances he had 3 really bad ones. Still, he was useful, while of course in his last 19 appearances he was putrid (8.22 ERA, .982 OPS against!). Just another Jerry Manuel success story.

I'd say for a middle reliever 85 percent is actually pretty good.

Kuo has been downright dominating against lefties, I've been following his career since he was in the minors (being born in the same country as my wife) and for a guy who has had as many issues with his arm I'm really pulling for him to go the entire season without giving up a hit to a lefty. His nickname when he was in Triple A was "The Human Rain Delay"

Speaking of closers am I the only who feels like Omar will trade away a guy who I think has future closer all over him in Parnell?

This team is sleepwalking right now. They are playing the worst baseball I've ever seen any team play and that is not an exaggeration.

Losing 11 of their last 14 and only scoring 4 or more runs in 1 of those games is downright disgusting with as much money as this team has invested on offense.

If you go back to the series in which they took 2 of 3 from the Twins which was June 25-27 this team has lost 15 of 21 and have not won a series.
