Nice win, but still a terrible road trip, and 7-5 against Wahington, Florida, and Pittsburgh is not acceptable. Now comes what is the toughest part of the schedule - 10 series (31 games) up to the All-Star break against teams with a combined winning percentage of .612 (counting the Phils and Yanks twice). Hope they're not under .500 at the break, although if they are maybe Omar and Jerry could be gone?
I agree that there is little chance of Omar being gone, but I actually think that if the Mets are under .500 at the All-Star break there's a decent chance that Manuel will be fired, since a post-change miracle would be the only thing that could save Omar's job.
