Drafting an NFL ready QB is an oxymoron. There is no such thing.

Tell that to Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, John Elway, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Carlson Palmer and now, Vince Cutler and Matt Leinart.

Just because the Jets never draft a NFL ready QB doesn't mean they don't exist. They just don't exist here...

How can you say Cutler & Leinart are NFL ready? They have not even played a regular season game yet. Leinart took one hit and already got hurt. Thats NFL ready?

If getting hit and getting hurt doesn't make you NFL ready, then Pennington should have never taken a snap. Injury doesn't disqualify a Rookie Qb from being NFL ready. Cutler and Leinart will most likely start this year for their teams. Even if they're moderately successful, then yeah, they have to be considered NFL ready. No one expects them to be the second coming of the class of '83 however, neither one of them will be picking splinters out of their asses for the next 3 years either.

of all the QB's taken in 06 - cutler and leinhart are the most ready and, IMO, either of them could start right away and be fine, especially with the right team....

i really wanted cutler on the jets - i am not sold on clemens - this may be a situation where the next jet playoff QB is not on the team YET....

Hey even if hes not at least when he gets here he won't have to wait for a championship caliber offensive line!

Talking about the draft when its 4 months past about the pics we could've, should've made is ridiculous...we had a good draft (maybe not the most exciting) but for once so go with it

Plus: Cutler hasn't played in a regular season game yet and won't for awhile so who knows what can happen.
