I've noticed the same, I don't have to dodge clicking his articles on bleacher report nearly as often anymore lol. But I stay mindful of the fact that we are yet "undefeated" (yes sarcasm) and hope his silence continues once the season starts and we take a few on the chin. I hope the new regime is loyal enough to MacBowles that they don't get frustrated and air the laundry when we hit a rough patch.

 

I'm impressed thus far. I would be even more impressed if he can land a QB to take us over the top.

I think Revis was his source which is why he got so nasty when he left and so congenial since he came back.

 

The thing I LOVE about the Jets front office is that they are taking CHANCES. Macc realizes that you can't just build a team without getting your fingers dirty. He's getting both young talent and taking chances on veterans that the team can coach up. They are creating a culture that allows for success. That isn't done overnight but it gets results.

 

Let's be honest, the kid never had any sources, just made things up.

 

If things go to Hell, you'd better believe Manish will start coming up with anonymous sources to tell us how awful it is. Just a matter of time.

I really belive all his sources were real...Its really not hard to belive that unhappy employees leak things to the media especially in the NFL.Not saying I like the guy but it isn't hard to get information when you have resources and work for a major newspaper

But all levity aside Petty is a project that could take years before given a shot. This team is built to win now and without a top 15 QB it's almost impossible to win a SB.

 

I feel like expectations are way to high ,If we had a QB id be all in saying Superbowl or bust......but we don't it sucks.Why can't we just find a franchise QB and end this misery once and for all.Could it be Bryce Petty?Possibly but even if he could be the guy we won't find that out for a few years.It just feels like there will never be a solution to this problem at this point ,there just are never enough options and when there is one we aren't high enough in the draft to take a shot at one.I really have no answers for the QB position

 

But we are where we are. There is no top 15 QB showing up in August.

I know every team says it, but if we had a legit QB, I'd truly believe we could win the SB this season, or at least be one of the favorites. This defense could be best we've ever seen for obvious reasons (which is saying a lot). Our skill players have improved with Marshall, Decker, Devin Smith, Kerley, Amaro, etc. Besides the o-line needing a bit of an improvement, and a good pass catcher out of the backfield, a legit QB is what this team is missing.
