It looks like d'Arnaud is a good defensive catcher. If he hits .225 this season, that would be good. Yadier Molina did not start off as a good hitter, either.

I can't stand Ruben tejada. He irritates me in every way imaginable.

Quite a performance by the bullpen tonight as the Mets take 2 out of 3 from Atlanta. On to Anaheim.

Murphy and Lagares are carrying this team but we need Wright and Granderson to pick it up. d'Arnaud is an absolute waste and hasn't really proven to be a good defensive catcher either. Tejada is also useless. Eric Young Jr had a decent night

I hope there's sarcasm in that Eric young jr. comment lol cuz 4 runs on 3 hits n 3 stolen bases ain't too shabby. Imagine this teams potential once Wright, Granderson, d'arnaud gets their bats going. Also, everyone chill out with d'arnaud he has like less than 7 weeks mlb experience lol sorry he didn't bust onto the baseball word like buster posey

It should have been sarcasm, I didn't watch the game all the way through and didn't even realize Young had a great night. I'm just thinking about how bad he's been before last night...but d'Arnaud has been in the minors since 2007 he only hit .200 last year and is just so bad now. He's not going to bust onto baseball like anyone because he's not showing an ability to be a major leaguer

And for tonight I'll eat my words as d'Arnaud goes deep to tie it at 2-2.

But the point about him being in the minors since 2007, he's been the best catcher at every level of the minors he's ever been in. Was listening to a broadcast and the interviewer was saying that GMs pretty universally thought this guy is the real thing. I for one am willing to be very patient with him.

Of course, Collins pulling Niese after 7.1, to bring in Torres who has pitched over 3 innings the last two games. Niese only had 96 pitches. Let's see if Torres blows it, I would bet on yes.

Trout looked like a fish out of water on that failed diving catch in center...Lagares is leading by example right now. Wright and Granderson need to start bringing it

Aaaand that's how it goes for the Mets. a 6-3 9th inning lead with 2 outs turns into a 6-6 tie going into extra innings. Props, Raul Ibanez

Farnsworth and the bullpen in general has made me eat my words big time after the first 2-3 games....... impressed with the teams battling qualities..we lack talent in key areas but the spirit seems good.

Get past June then the fun starts ...Montero , Thor and Puello should be up for the big league team..lets see the Mets team for the next 2-3 years start to get together. We have some interesting potential trade tools to put together....We could have Niese , Gee , Dice K , Meija , Colon , Montero , Wheeler , Thor and Harvey.....someone of a No 3 or 4 standard ( Gee or even Colon if return is good enough) is going to get traded come July for a 1b or SS in my view

"You are the worst" He really is David. This umpire is a dick. A blind dick.

Not sure why we paid Colon 20 million to give up 4 home runs today when Montero should already be in the majors with Noah following closely behind. We also have DeGrom...why not let these guys pitch? Why spend 20 million on a fat 40 year old pitcher when we have glaring weaknesses in our bullpen and especially at short?

Kinda sad to see Ike go, he had so much hype when he came up, struggled to much, still has a ton of potential but clearly needed to go elsewhere.
