I gotta say, I was a little tentative when I first heard about the new Yankee Stadium plans. There is all that history of course, but from a personal perspective, it's just familiar surroundings in the current stadium and didn't feel like moving on. But as time has moved on, I've really warmed up to it. Everytime I went to a game last year, I would enter and go up from the left field spiral and check out the progress on the stadium, and now I like the idea of getting used to a new experience, cleaner bathrooms, and wider concourses.
Dead on on both points... the only other thing the Yankees could have done is level the stadium and build on the exact spot but then they'd have no where to play for 2 years... and forget Shea... it sucked when the played there the first time...
