To be where we are without Jeter, Granderson and Teixeira (could also argue A Rod) is pretty remarkable.
The first half was successful. We were around 10 gms over .500 after 81 gms despite rolling Wells, Hafner, David Adams and Overbay out there daily. We fell the fuck off in July. Clearly bias take by me here, But either Dempster has to get warned after the first pitch or Dempster gets tossed after hitting Arod in this scenario. Now the sox keep their pitcher AND the Yankees cannot retaliate. How is that fair? Either give the warning after the first one, if you don't, throw Dempster and then warn both teams. Joe Giradi absolutely had a right to get pissed off.

It's just an interesting move by ESPN to put an ex player who was big in a rivalry like this as an announcer. You are asking someone who played and clearly favors one side to try and turn down their bias.
