Phelps ate innings today, bats scraped out the winning run in the 9th for a 3-2 win @Colorado. Mo is 12 for 12. Gotta keep grinding out wins with this patchwork lineup. Ben Francisco, Chris Nelson.... lol wow
Still don't get why Ben Francisco is being used as a starter. I'd rather have someone off the AAA roster. Pick any of the starting outfielders in Scranton. They can't be any worse. Francisco is awful. And he's even been used high up in the lineup.
I don't think I've watched more than half of one single Yankee game so far this season. At least they're staying afloat before they get healthy.
That's more than I've watched. I've only been checking the LoHud page every couple of days. It's pretty sad, but that's all I have the time for. My goal is to get my kids to at least one game this year... hopefully one that Mo closes out. My oldest son is old enough that he would remember it, and I'd like for him to be able to remember seeing Mo pitch. (He saw him close out a game three years ago, but he was two years old at the time.)
1st Place baby! I will take it for sure, right now. Any updates on who is coming back from injury and when?
Jeter and ARod out until after All Star break. Granderson could be back in 2-3 weeks. Tex and Pineda in June. Cervelli in July I think.
not sure when this was announced, but the Yankees are stopping in Cleveland just for one day to play a doubleheader. Phelps vs. Masterson Nuno vs. Bauer game 1 at noon, game 2 to start a half hour or so after game 1 ends MLB allows a 26th player for doubleheaders
through 15 innings today, the two teams have combined for 2 runs and 16 hits. Game 2 of the doubleheader in the 7th
Good starts by Hughes... he's fooling us. Bad starts by Hughes... shows who he is. Gotta love Yankee fans.
Yankees brought up Betances..hopefully Cashman doesn't ruin this guy too..he was throwing 98 in triple A and they brought him up to relieve.
They're bringing him up to relieve because he's been such a disaster as a starter, it's worth a shot to see if he can be useful out of the bullpen. This isn't a Joba situation. There's nothing there for Cashman or anyone else to ruin.
