I missed the whole buying the evidence storyline. That's probably key. I read the SI article Vanderbuilt posted, I feel like most of that was in Verducci's book already or someone elses. Mo blows the save..... bottom 11 tied at 4. This season is quickly slipping away, very disappointing. All we can hope for is the Red Sox not winning the WS. They appear very strong.
Such a disappointing season. 1)Everyone is on the DL 2)The only thing that kept them alive last year was the HR's which dont exist this year. 3)Defense is decent. 4)Starting pitching has been horrendous. Pettite has the worst ERA of any starter in the 1st inning. CC has fallen off completely after dropping all that weight. Kuroda can never get enough help at the plate and Hughes is fucking terrible. They dont have a legit 5th starter or even a legit #2 pitcher. Kuroda has been the only shining spot. 5)It seems like no one in their farm system is worth bringing up. 6)We've tried what? 6 3rd baseman and they all are worthless. 7)No 1st baseman. We resort to David Adams who cant fucking hit. This team is like the 2012 Jets. Disfunctional, no pitching, no offense, no home run hitters, everyone is hurt. Its just awful all around. I guess our 2013 Yankees equivalent to the buttfumble would be Cano's sorry ass attempt at the HR derby.
Im sure it has been discussed here but how does Brian Cashman have a job? Forget about this year and the yanks new CAP but name a player the yanks have drafted that has done well in the last decade? How do you have such a horrible farm system if you are the ny yankees? How do you bring up the guys that they have brought up and they look so overmatched is horrendous. How does Brian Cashman have a job? Because he has the ability in certain years to sign 12 pitchers and one of them works out? Who was that guy one year...Small? That went like 11 and 1 and everyone applauded Cashmans ability to find diamonds in the rough while he signed another 4 journey pitchers that sucked the same year? How do the Yankees have no farm system at all? Cant blame it on free agent signings the past couple years. Cashman drafted every hard throwing big pitcher there was for a couple years and we end up with Joba Chamberlain. If you were a middle of the road team spending wise would you ever even think about signing Cashman to run your team? I cant believe the way this guy skates.
Bleh, last night summed out our luck this season. We are 7 games out of the 2nd WC, with 5 teams ahead of us. Bright side, two teams ahead of us are in our division and we will get plenty of shots to take games off. Not so bright side, we just got swept by the CWS, losers of 10 straight before this series
One of the worst teams in baseball had their way with us. Its sad just how bad this pitching staff really is. Also, this is completely irrelevant but, is Gardner slower than last year? Is he just a poor base runner? Don't get me wrong hes one of the best fielders in baseball but he only has, what? 16 stolen bases?
All of this is he said she said. MLB has nothing on ARod. I find it very disconcerting to see how people allow themselves to be manipulated by the major press. The press tells the public who and when they should boo, and people fall for it hook line and sinker. Meanwhile the union puts out a letter to the press supporting Arod and of course the press mostly ignore it, because it labels them as the culprits of spreading propaganda. Don't you think it's bias reporting when all media outlets across the country speak the same way about one person? Wake up people.

ARod is garbage. It'd be good for the Yanks if he were suspended for life.... it's a damn shame there is no language in that contract regarding use of PEDs that would enable us to void it. Guy is an embarrassment to this organization.
