First, what would a Yankees/Red Sox series be without disagreeing about every little thing? Second, Devil did create the thread first so he should get it. And third, it's all in fun. Yankees fans, the most uptight, angry, haters in the league
I don't have a good feeling about this for the Sox. Their offense has been cold lately and I don't see the Yankees loosing more than 6 consecutively to them. Should be a good one.
And that's what was kinda petty. Purposefully pissing in someone else's cheerios just for the sake of it is pretty lame, even if it isn't a big deal. Who's uptight? Y'all can do what you want. If future outcomes could actually be determined by who started threads, we'd be morons for wasting it on baseball games.
I've said it before, I only start them when the series is at Fenway. I didn't even attempt to do it for the series in New York. I think it's perfectly fair to do it that way. Also, I only start threads when people will care about the series and it will be more than just me and Murrell posting in them. So that means when they play the Yankees and that's about it. I used to do it for the Devil Rays too when TBJF was still around, and would have done it for the Mets series but I was in Maine for a wedding that whole weekend. I do like that another thread was created again, since it resulted in a Sox sweep last time. Right. Except I watch probably 85% of all innings they play, only missing it if I'm not home, and in that case I usually have it on the radio.
Wow, one mod overturns a decision made by another mod. The Sawx fan mod shows his muscle versus the Yankees fan mod. First of all, you guys need to get on the same page and stop overturning each others decisions. Second of all, its not that dire that these threads need to be merged. I think it BS that Devil gets it his way just because he started a thread earlier. Its obvious he does it just to spite Yankee fans. Let me ask you this Devil, before you respond. If this game is an Oakland A's forum, do you still post this Yankees/Sawx game thread? ( the answer is no) I know as a Yankee fan, we all take this thread starting thing seriously. Last night, I asked Mack to ask not to have the thread merged because I knew either SJ or Murrell would merge them. To no surprise, Murrell did exactly what I anticipated. Leave the bias out, this sub forum will not crumble if you have 2 Yankees/Red Sox threads. I/Yankees fans want their own stand alone thread. Thanks.
I don't have a great feeling either, although the pitching matchup is pretty even in game 1 and in the Sox favor in game 2. Game 3 is, I think, a pretty much guaranteed Yankee win.
Its extremely petty. I dont care if Devil has his own thread, but dont merge with his as the starter. I have a winning streak going, and I think even the Boston fans here know it.
Some people work Murrell. Were not all waiting at the keyboard for the end of the game like some people.
No, then I would start an A's/Sox thread because that's what people would be interested in. It seems you guys have issues with me not starting other threads for the Sox. If you want I can, and have no problem doing it, except they will end up with like 5 posts in them. It's a waste of time. Also, this has nothing to do with me "getting my way". I made a thread, that's it. I never asked for it to be merged, deleted, restored, or altered in any other way. The only ones doing that here were you guys and the mods. Again, I only make them for when the series is in Boston, which is perfectly reasonable, but it isn't that big a deal if you guys want to cry about it. Mods, go ahead and delete mine, I really don't care. It's just a thread.
Knowing we start a thread on every series and then beating us to it everytime the Sox are at home seems pretty spiteful to me. If you started a thread on every series, I would not mind at all that you started this one. You dont do it because we would be interested in it, you do it because you know it woudl bother us that Sox fan started it. FTR, I never asked a mod to touch your thread, I just asked them to not merge mine with yours.
Look back, I used to start them for other series' as well, but there was no point. Even when they went to play Oakland in Japan last year. It was the ONLY baseball going on and still no one posted in the thread. Trust me, I would have no problem starting threads for every series, but it's a waste. I'm going to do it now though. Watch how little activity they get. I'm not like some posters that are content to create a thread to have a conversation with themselves.
