Play calling changed after first two drives as we got out of the no-huddle and seemed to try to slow up the game. At the same time we didn't go after Collins for the first three quarters, probably because we were worried about Johnson. In retrospect, I think both those calls were wrong and should have cost us the game. They didn't and you have to get some breaks in a great season. Not sure that is what we have yet but at the begining of the year I thought 2-2 would be a great start and give us a good shot at the playoffs. Hard to complain when WE'RE 3-0 BABY!!!

There was a play they seemed to run a couple times, where Richardson was sent wide, and then they ran away from the side of the field he was on. I wasn't sure of the point of that play. It just took the lead blocker out of the play. The decoy factor just didn't seem sell-able on it.

what was that draw on 3rd and 15 about, looked kotite-ish to me.

other than that, shotty has turned out to be a much better OC than i ever thought he'd be. i remember when he was getting bashed for being so conservative when we had penny and stuff.....but the whispers were that he would open it up if he had a qb who could play like that. shotty is going to work out fine i think.

Prior to today, believe it or not, Tennessee had allowed only 99 yars on 52 carries, an avg of 1.9 yards per rush. Tennessee has a good run defense.

We gained 86 yards on 28 carries, plus 3 kneels for -3 yards. That is not bad at all considering who you're going against.

U got that right. Playcalling has to be superagressive if we want to stay in the game. NO has a supercharged offense. We need to treat Brees just like Brady, pressure, pressure and some more pressure. We cant just sit back and see what he does. He'll rip us apart. Lucky enough Collins couldn't do it today. We didn't pressure him enough in the first three quarters and let them take the lead in the meantime.

I thought Collins played well, if not for a few key drops by his WR and the awful return game the Titans win this game going away.

The Titans controlled the line of scrimage with a 4 man rush all game. That makes it tough to run or throw a lot of short screens and slants since the LB's and safties for TN were running free all game.

The real problem with our Offensive game plan was our O line was nutralized by 4 defensive players for most of the game. The OL has to do a better job next week if we want to open up the short passing game, screen game and running game which we will need against NO.

I hated the bubble screen on third and 17 becuase its dangerous. Rather run the ball right there and punt.

Interstingly, I saw Mangold get beat on multiple occassions, mostly with stunts, which blew my mind, but I have no problem with the playcalling in general. Two years from now we may be more aggressive on third and long, but a screen or dumpoff and a prayer are fine with me right now. Worked about seven times in week one, after all.

Just remember guys that even though we have The Sanchize, we still have Brian Schotts as our OC so live with the conservatism. It's in the genes.. :)

I think a lot of the conservative play calling was directly tied to the fact that Sanchez was having trouble holding on to a wet ball. He did better with that in the second half but by then the game plan seemed to have changed.

We put our game in action on the first couple of drives. The conditions were not the best and this was seen by the ball coming out of Sanchez hand. We still did what good teams do. We capitalized on turn overs and the defense came through all day long. I'm satisfied with the outcome and can take a lot away from this game. A strong Titans team that was denied and stopped in its tracks. ....Win!
