I'd put McGregor or one of the other young cats on the line. SOMETHING... If he doesn't cut Clemons I would essentially throw his ass on the PS and call it a career in NY. Yeah, and if it was our QB doing the bitching we'd have nothing to say about it. Clemons didn't even need to BE in the vicinity of this play. Didn't need to touch him, didn't need to run up to him...nothing. Final thought, the whole league KNOWS the QB's the league is going to protect and Allen is one of them. A smart player doesn't even put himself in a position to get that flag because they KNOW it's going to come! Frustrating about this era of football and the lack of QB's being actual football players but, unfortunately, it is the reality. (Give me the 90's where you could still hit a QB but not rip him in half like they did before that era)
Still, you get my point. 49'ers weren't anywhere near full strength but, as bad as the Saints are, they are still an NFL franchise and the 49'ers, unlike the Jets, took care of business in spite of all the injuries. Hell, after watching the Saints play, I would BARELY give the Jets a punchers chance. We're going to find out but, comparing what I saw in the second game of the season, I think the Saints would bitch slap the Jets right now. Kamara would run up and down this team like Hum-vee.
Eh McGregor and Briggs were both on the field creating huge seams for that huge James Cook run. This rookie linebacker 41 got sealed off and then over corrected and finished it off with the third terrible move by a Jets defender on the play. Clemons sucks. Maybe he should be cut? But the depth on this team is pretty poor across most positions. It’s hard to just say yeah fuck it cut him, when he’s realistically the top backup defensive lineman we have.
Well shit...I tried. LOL! I guess I'd actually have to watch the 2nd half to make my McGregor comment. Ce la vie... Strapping in for a shitty season. The ONLY thing I cross every appendage for is that this team does NOT do it's typical "win enough to shit the top pick away." Although, it looks like the Dolphins are going to compete with the Jets for that top pick.
That’s the problem…our depth is shit and not only at DE. We don’t have enough talent to compete with the Bills…but yesterday was bad…the team gave up
What happened to Jermaine Johnson? He was playing good and then exited the game. Which is why they had to move to Clemons and then McGregor
Ankle injury. Still no word on the severity. And by the way, if this isn't a prime example of why expecting this team to compete was foolish, what is? One injury happens and we're starting Michael Clemons who shouldn't even be rostered, or McGregor who I can't even tell you his first name. The roster is bad.
Well, I'll tell you. We all knew this was going to be a long season but there still has to be accountability. These players, NFL caliber or not, are still getting paid NFL wages. I expect, at the very least, boneheaded penalties to be avoided. It doesn't take an NFL caliber player to not hit a QB on his way out of bounds. As long as McGregor et. al. can play CLEANLY then I'll just have to stomach their lack of advanced skill. We have to start somewhere.
Woody is the head he is responsible for hiring these people, if Jd was never hired this would never happen and Zach Wilson probally would of never gotten drafted either.
