He’s not even the GM. Let’s be real here, this is Spielman’s show. You don’t hire a guy you trust if you have to come in and be his consultant. Mougey is a GM in name only. Spielman’s ultimately the guy who’s gonna have Woody’s ear on final decisions.
I mean Spielman literally said he will not be the final decision maker, it will be Mooge and Glenn. He will not even be in the building most of the time, working remotely on ops part of it and be a sounding board. That is real, coming from an actual person in question. Above is you saying the opposite of what is real.
Honestly I don’t give a flying fuck who has final say. All I care about is for the leadership, be it whatever combo of Glenn, Mougey, or Spielman, to put a fucking decent team on the field that will win more games than we lose, make the playoffs, and at some point in my life actually win a Super Bowl. If that’s Spielman making the final call I don’t give a shit. If it’s Mougey or Glenn, I don’t care. I’m fine if they all three get in the room on draft day and make some decent picks and build a solid roster.
Bump to early to Judge but so far Moogey built a horrible defense, signed Stephen's to 3 years 36 million who absolutely sucks. Signed Fields to a 2 year deal who looks like he is going to suck. Failed to cut Clemons who is out there commiting dumb penalties again just like last year. His offensive line today got thrown around like ragdolls by Joey Bosa and no Ed Oliver.
I don't think the talent is that bad. OL is also talented. And even with Fields, he did give us one great game and one shit one, yet we still didn't capitalize on the great game. I agree on Stephens and also we are weak at DE and WR, but I think the talent is there to concede less than 32 ppg. Also, Mooge did bring Pritchett on the roster who had a good camp, and AG picked Gipson. A lot of what is wrong is coaching. We should have won vs Pitt and competed better against the Bills with the talent we have if the coaching was better. Heck, just picking Pritchett over Gipson, like many called for, likely results in a win last week. As of now I do not see Mooge as the biggest issue, the coaching is.
