I really think that if we sign Colombo, our O-line will let Jones loose!

i wish there was more news report, i feel like as a whole we have been completly left in the dark since that columbo rumor turned out to be false. Since than we havent heard anything,

we know that the cowboys offered hima small contract and he hasnt signed but he also hasnt declined the offer.

on the other end we dont know if the jets have offered him anything, or if we have even visited with him. We also dont know if he has met with other teams.

the whole situation is very cloudy and vexing

I think we all want Columbo so bad becuase there's no one else out there. but really, how much better is this guy than Anthony Clement?
And wtf ever happened to Adrian Jones? Does he still exist? Has the Jets/NFL given up completely on him playing spirited football again?

The draft can locate a suprise or two.

sign colombo, draft blalock and watch our OL gel into an elite unit for years to come. Then just hope that we can address the DL through this and next years draft.

Yep, from another post on another board...

    Marc Colombo-T-Cowboys Mar. 9 - 4:38 pm et

Cowboys re-signed RT Marc Colombo to a two-year, $7 million contract.
Colombo received $4 million to sign, according to ESPN's John Clayton. Leonard Davis should now be allowed to play his natural guard position, and, at nearly 370 pounds, should be a difference maker there.

I think this points to the FO taking another OT on day one again in the draft. Even if they resign Clement it will be for depth, IMO. I have a feeling Blalock is going to be the 1st rounder this year. Especially since Dallas just resigned Columbo, Blalock SHOULD be there. Just a feeling.

I'd rather have blalock at guard next to, I guess, Clement.
