Bryan was the type of player you hates when he was an opponent but loved him when he was on your team(a dennis rodman type). Bryan was the fiery leader of our best team since 1968 so I have a very favorable impression of him, I wish we had 11 of him on the field at the ame time and I am glad he's back w/ us as a coach.
hes one of those players who you actually need to keep people fired up. the guy runs his mouth but he also brought the boom. you gotta love a guy with a motor like his whether it was his mouth or passion to make a play. and even then his outbursts nev er bothered me, he was a psycho on the field so I was a younger fan who just wanted to see results, and that he brought.
Cox brought the same attitude to the defense that Keyshawn brought to the offense. You need players like this to be successful....
I loved Bryan Cox in green. The guy is a beast. Just looking at him made me scared, i can only imagine facing up against him and getting a bone crushing hit. I love how he wore the thing behind his neck, it looked like a mattress
I loved him, he put the scary into our defense. The Jets had talent on D but they didn't scare anyone. He beat up people and made playing the Jets something teams had to think about.
I want to know what type of Jet fan votes unfavorable for this guy? Unbelievable. Guy should be running a shutout in the favorable category right now.
He was a maniac! Didn't like him until he became one of us! I remember the game he broke his leg, and I think he even played the remainder of the game...or at least a few more snaps...totally a maniac!
Every defense he went to immediately became better upon his arrival. He was a real 'tough guy'. A leader and a guy that gave a defense an attitude. He went down for the year when he went to the Pats, and they still credited him with leading the team to the SB, that's how important he was as a leader.
I voted unfavorable. I hated him as a Dolphin and it carried over. I never said he was a poor player of anything like that, I just didn't like the guy. Same way I don't like TO, although Cox was cerainly more of a gamer the TO on his best day.
The reason alot of guy's hated him as a Dolphin was because he's got a Giant mouth and never shut it! I was pleased when he was a Jet because of that big mouth alway's pushing the other players.
The training camp injury to Marvin Jones opened the door for Bryan Cox to come in and make the 98 Jets a division champ, a playoff team, and conference championship finalist. Nothing again Marvin who was great, but without Cox, the Jets don't go as far as they did in 1998.
I loved the guy even when he was with the Fins. He was one of those guys you just loved to watch play no matter who he played for. How can u not like somebody who would play for u on a broken leg.
Hated him on Miami, loved him on the Jets, which means he was a good player. I always remember that big neck pad or whatever that was that used to stick straight up behind his head.
I LOVE BRYAN COX. Real nice guy....I had drinks with him while watching a Jets/Dolphins Monday night game a couple of years ago. He told me he hates Herm Edwards. Said Herm was the type of guy that would say one thing to your face and do another behind your back. Told me he didn't like the way Herm treated Mo Lewis on his way out....didn't give Mo a classy/grateful exit.
Bryan Cox's hate for Herm only makes me like him more... Cox was a true Parcells guy. Great leader no doubt.
