You have it backwards. Chad's inability to get the ball downfield is leaving 8-9 defenders in the box, which is killing the running game.
OK SAME TEAM AS LAST YEAR YET WE HAVE A BETTER RUNNING BACK . BUT A WORSE LINE. NOTHING DIFFERENT ABOUT CHAD....PLENTY DIFFERENT WITH LINE
i agree with you greatful jet head,!!!! doesnt the football ignorance really fog up the board? lets throw clemens in, that will fix everything!!! i guess i'm all over the place with this one. well if being fundemental, football wise, is all over the place, what the hell is irrationality?
Actually the oline has pass blocked pretty good in the last 2 games. Run blocking on the right side has been horrible. On the left side, average.
"" i think we all are all over the place here. Well I guess the good news here for me is I am not questioning the coaching staff.....yet...I still believe they are best to decide who needs to play and who doesnt
the crappy thing is, when you change your mind about the coaching staff, they will still be making the decisions. but in their defense, they do know these players alot better than we can speculate. it would be fun, if they forced coaches to read our boards ,wouldnt it?
Pierce said because of the many slants and screens Jets receivers run, the play of the Giants' linebackers will be critical. "Very key," Pierce said. "They throw a lot of short routes. They take their shots every once in a while, but for the most part, everything is between 10 and 15 yards. We're going to be keyed in. We need everyone executing their assignments." This is why our run game is shut down. This is the scouting report for the entire nfl when facing the jets and CP
You dont think this was the scouting report last year too. Nope sorry cant agree here. Goes back to a lousy line . We have same guys with a better runningback. Peningtons arm is the same as it was last year. Only thing different is offensive line
I have a feeling Muir left because of Bradway's neglect of the O-line to begin with. He probably wouldn't make a difference right now.
It's a combination of things. Basically Chad needs to have a lot going for him to beat a good team at this point. He needs good lineplay, a decent running game allowing him to utilize play action more often, targets who can catch his short passes and go get yards after the catch and a good defense that can stop the opponent fairly regularly and force short fields with turnovers. To beat an average to bad team he needs less of course and we won 10 games last year because we played a lot of bad to average teams. At this point the Jets have just one of the ingredients that Chad needs to be successful: the targets who can gets yards after the catch. That means that he's virtually guaranteed to fail when the Jets are facing a competent opponent. He's very likely to fail even when the opponent is not all that competent unless the Jets get some real breaks in the game. Chad is about the worst QB the Jets could have right now, because he's just not able to function in an environment in which the talent around him has evaporated and is in the process of being reconstituted as a new entity. Of course if the Jets have a last place schedule with a bunch of losers on it next season they could easily rebound to 8-8 or 9-7 with Chad. Does anybody really need to see this happen or think it would be a positive thing for the Jet's chances to win a super bowl in the next few years?
wow! first, i agree with abyzmul and now with you. things are so bad even the 3 of us can see it plainly. i wish that i was the jets fan who found himself in an elevator last week in buffalo with woody and tanny. i would have told him that i have a weak passing arm too. can i have a $64 million contract and a coach who keeps starting me even though i handicap the offense?:shit:
