Pettine declines extension.

    Sanchez did give us the best chance to win prior to this mini-meltdown.

    the problem is tanny has never brought in any proper competition for him - Brunell; Clemens; Tebow - who the hell wouldn't start over them?

    So apparently Pettine doesn't even have the full responsibility of a d-coordinator. Can't blame him for wanting to leave.

    I think Rex is a great defensive minded coach. When it comes to HC qualities it is lacking. With or without Tebow, the team has always been a circus. When things are going well players want to play for Rex. When things start looking bad, he loses control of the team. His conservative gameplay can be because of the QB position but you can't win games with just the defense. With that said Rex should be back next season but it won't surprise or disappoint me if Woody clears house.

    i am still wondering when he was offered a new contract... if it was earlier in the year thats one thing.

    if it was offered to him in the past week then it means that rex will be back next year.
