Early in his Jets career I'll agree. But I remember towards the end he had a propensity to take too much time calling audibles at the line of scrimmage and drained the play clock. I saw a shit ton of snaps at the last second where I felt he overanalyzed the coverage and the play ended up being a loss or very short gain. Mental lapses in my opinion.
He had a lot of problems with that late in his career. He also tried to put too much on himself. His throws had almost no power with his diminished shoulder yet he repeatedly tried to thread the ball in to areas he had no business throwing into.
Its always hard to compare QB's because the teams were different. I don't remember the team we had in Chad's 1st year but no way was Chad as ready as Mark was to play right off the bat. Sanchez needed a mentor last year, this year he needs a deep threat
Your post should be the last post on Chad's career as a Jet and any comparison to Sanchez. You said it all. I was a Chad basher last year but I have moved on and have nothing against the guy other then he's a Dolphin. He gave it his best and that's all you can ask for. I am glad we have Sanchez and that's all that matters.
well said and I agree with you! I am tired of CHADWICK'S supporters forgetting that this is a TEAM game. Chadwick is not the right fit for the current Jets team. They should follow their idol to Miami and become blowfish fans rather then to become Sanchez pundits.
I'm not really a Chad supporter, I just know a shitty post when I see one. And you, obviously, do not.
Good grief.. I love me some Chad Pennington, but even I cannot believe this topic is still being kicked around. I can't help but wonder if the OP would be better off spending his time... I dunno... masturbating maybe... rather than posting on a football message forum.
