I hear you. My biggest chunk of time spent on a computer for myself is here. But it's different for others who post here.
....proper spelling/grammar? Also demonstrably untrue. A cursory glance at my post count and duration of membership are evidence of that but your grasp of logic and the written language have already proven insufficient to even the meager task at hand. Now STFU, put your name tag back on and get me my french fries.
question you have to ask is has Geno learned anything with his time on the bench and can he function with this set of players on offense. The answer is sure he could function the only problem is that he hasn't learned anything. He held the ball ran backwards rather than throwing it away, etc. His football IQ is terrible and I have zero faith that he could have made some of the plays Fitz has in clutch time. Not because Fitz is some world beater, but because Geno absolutely wouldn't have read the situations properly. We need to take a QB if a quality one is there and let him battle with Petty for the 2 if Petty isn't ready.
Not really here to be a Genobot but umm,... He led the league (tied with Brady) in game winning drives as a rook. 5 of our 8 wins that year were because of plays he made in the clutch.
Don't have a MySpace or twitter. I rarely go on FB. So try again. Damn now I can see you really don't have a life. I can just image how post u got on those. Sad dude really sad. I know I know my grammar sad. Lol.
He's like Sanchez at this point. Both guys did some stuff as a rookies that made you think they could do it long term. Problem is that much like Sanchez his time with Rex and co has made a mess. Sanchez won us a ton of playoff games but doesn't change the fact that in the long run he's going to hurt you more than he helps you; and that's with a pretty good offensive mind drawing up his play. Geno's football IQ wasn't great to begin with and has only gone downhill. Fitz is making plays that depend on pocket presence and the ability to avoid the sack/loss of yards. Geno on the other hand will do one of the below; *hold the ball and get crushed *narrowly avoid the rush and start drifting back and toward the sideline a) get sacked for a big loss b) go out of bounds for a big loss c) toss it up into a cluster of defensive players *not use his legs to make the play. *not just throw the ball away Sanchez was guilty of the same sort of things, so I'm not putting it all on Geno. Still, as it stands he's damaged goods and this team doesn't need to keep milking projects along. The last 6 seasons were an abject lesson in failure in that department. There was far too much trying to get value from players that had a modicum of one time success. I was hoping we'd get to see what he had under real management from Geno and maybe get a better idea of if he could be fixed. However, Geno aided in the creation of a situation that brought about the ending, for better or worse, of his season. It's possible he might turn his career trajectory around. If so, I'll give him his due until then I 100% do not trust him to help more than hurt the Jets chances to win if he's in the game.
This was a Probs to Fitz opening. Why all the Geno and Sanchez comments. Rechecking the Cowboy game, Fitz was ineffective for the first half and much of the 3rd quarter. The Cowboy D line was chewing up our O line, and Fitz didn't have much time. He looked uncomfortable. But late in the 3rd and most of the 4th, he rolled out of the pocket to both sides. Now the passes started to click. Me thinks the Offensive coordinator should had used this technique earlier. Or was it just adaption by Fitz?
Chan does sometimes seem slow to change his 1st half approach. He's perhaps one of the best 2nd half OC's I've ever seen.
He has some nice plays in his playbook but holds to only a handful that he will call over and over. If the other team will let him that is. I'd love to see more bubble screens, HB tosses to Ivory and that sort of thing to keep the d honest. Not to mention a few more runs outside of the tackle. It would buy Fitz a few more plays without a full on blitz.
I've heard Fitz say a cpl time his success in the 4th qtr was due (in part) to setting plays up. Which means they'll run plays a certain way even if they don't work great, so they can 'fool' the defense later on. I can't give concrete examples, but say we run Ivory up the middle off a certain look over and over. Then, in the 4th qtr we use the same look to run Ivory up the middle on a play action pass that goes for 7. Stuff like that. And of course fans be like "Why we keep running Ivory up the middle???"
