For some reason when I see others attacking each other it bothers me, it never bothers me when they do it to me but it does watching others go through it. Let's take a step back and get back to football discussions. We have a winning team, some of us appreciate what mark brought to the team and others don't. Let's move on.
Old post? You said it last week. I didn't even use the forum's search funtion (which sucks btw). I certainly appreciate what Sanchez "brought to this team"... but it's been close to two years since he's brought anything. Is stating we'd have a better win/loss record if Sanchez played your idea of "moving on"? After every game this season you either say "Sanchez would have won that game" if we lost, or "don't forget we'd have more wins with Mark" if we won. That's your idea of an "intelligent football discussion".. It's no wonder you feel the need to "move on"...the only thing you have left is imaginary woulda coulda scenarios that only have validity in your feeble little mind. All are idiotic and none have proven true.
where did I see "we would have been 4-0"? I appreciate what mark did for our franchise, some don't. Some folks think it's easy to win in January w/ any QB, those folks would be wrong. They are also what have you done for me lately fans. The same ones that wanted Rex gone now love him again. I have no doubts we would have been at least 3-1 through 4 but I also stated I am not sure we win in Atl w/ Mark b/c of how outstanding Geno played but that goes unnoticed by my fans who cannot keep up in debates but rather just like to hurl childish insults to deflect from their weak/made up arguments.
Tell me that fairy tale about the Head coach who killed his favored quarterback's career to prove his GM wrong. That one's the best...
The lack of reading comprehension is frightening. Notice that word "maybe" in there, it changes the sentence completely. Ask an adult. Not surprisingly you still don't get the Rex/Idzik connection to Mark playing that game.
sanchez played three pre-season quarters, over two games, with marty calling the plays ... he had an interception in each game, one of which was returned for a TD by a defensive lineman, and another near turnover that was only saved by an excellent tackle by kellen winslow yet im supposed to believe that sanchez would cut down on his turnovers with marty calling the plays? some people are delusional
Geno had 3 TOs in a half then 11 through 4 reg season games, everyone was learning a new O. mark would have turned it over but not at the same rate and we easily win the NE game and have a chance in the Ten game. Monday was the first game Geno looked ready to play in this league and I'm not sure we win w/ Mark b/c Geno was near flawless but through 4 we would have been better.
Mother Hen doesn't like the hurling of childish insults guys. Please knock it off Passive agressiveness, being corny, and words like "buffoon" are okay though.
This is a funny statement though, because you do try to demean others intelligence when they post something even if that other poster does not curse you out. You are not the superior Jet fan...Even if you think people are acting overly aggressive with you. I appreciate what Mark does, but he isn't a difference maker or changed the franchise
Actually I take more insults than anyone and give back a fraction back of what I receive it's just my fans are so consumed w/ everything I do they tend to see what I post and not what others post. I am superior to you but not all.
There you go playing pretend again. I enjoy a good "what if" discussion sometimes. When the qb competition was in full swing, I asked the opinion of a quarterback who played for many years under MM. My question to him was simply this...Did he think Sanchez would find success playing for Morningwheg? His answer was direct and to the point...Sanchez just can't make certain throws required of the system, and Morningwheg is reluctant to change his offense to suit the quarterback. He had no axe to grind...he actually stated publicly that Sanchez should have refused to go into the game where he was injured and got a raw deal from the decision. Take it for what it's worth...to me it's worth more than couldwoulda opinions proffered around here.
Rex putting him in that preseason game has to be the best play of 2013. It gave us hope when Mark went down.
There's just no way you can assume this stuff. Is it very possible Sanchez doesn't have eleven turnovers through the first four games? Sure. Can we know he wouldn't have killed us with the sort of egregious, ill-timed turnovers he's known for? No way.
Not sure? As in Mark vs. a "near flawless" performance in a game the Jets won by the skin of their teeth? snicker....................giggle.........................cackle...............LOL.................roaring LMAO..... ___________
This is all meaningless conjecture and speculation. Mark routinely cost us games with game-changing, egregious mistakes. You have no idea how Mark would have fared up until this point, and the fact that you are pretending that you actually do, only serves to further indicate how absurdly biased and delusional you are regarding anything Sanchez related.
Suggesting that Mark Sanchez would have had a better start this year than Geno is just a futile exercise. There's no way of knowing and Sanchez recent history suggests not anyway. Yeah, Geno had 11 TO's in his first 4 starts. That exactly matches the number of TO's that Sanchez had in his last 4 starts as Jets QB. My own opinion is that the Jets are no better than 1-3 if Sanchez starts those 4 games and maybe 0-4, however that's just my opinion. That opinion is formed by the facts that Sanchez had shaky ball security in the pre-season and also had a large number of TO's, 11 to be exact, in his last 4 starts last season against weak competition. Expecting him to miraculously hold onto the ball against the Bucs and Titans defenses somehow is projecting miracles and he turned the ball over a lot against weak defenses last year also.
