Seems if it was something serious they would have put something out there. Major injury to Revis would have definitely been on Bowles mind and something would have come out in the news conference.
Who knows. Ivory's condition may be worse than we know. Clearly his performance fell off in week two, and he wasn't running outside the tackles much at all.
Also, if you're going to be 85% instead of 100%, I think you want to be a running back getting 15 touches and often staying into block rather than a CB that plays every snap and sprints half the game.
So much of what Revis does is brain driven, I think he can play with minor groin stuff. In fact, I believe he has in the past as a Jet.
It's not just Revis, it's Revis and Ivory and Owusu and Walls and Devin Smith and Decker and who knows how good Cro is.
I remember hearing Ira from SI on the Jets postgame show the other day mentioning Revis walking funny after the game I hope it's nothing serious
Wow, talk about a douche. There's an entire article he wrote now about it. It says in it that Bowles is supposed to talk about the Revis injury today on his call. I guess we'll find out
Not even clicking on that Costello article. Douche is using 24 hours of uncertainty to get clicks with speculation.
The fact that the Jets aren't talking about it means it's probably not serious. If they had an inkling that it might be serious they'd be preparing us for that fact. They've probably known about this since Sunday and certainly since Monday and we'd have heard more about it if they thought it was anything more than a strain. Revis is one of those people that goes full tilt in practice all the time. He's got nothing to gain by hiding the injury since he's at no risk of losing his job. He told the Jets he was sore as soon as he realized that was the case. The reason for the Jets to keep quiet about the injury is that Revis might not be able to go full tilt in the game on Sunday and so you don't want the other team exploiting that. If he stayed really sore into the week, well then there's the chance the Jets would decide to not dress him and give him a week off and you don't want the opponent knowing that beforehand either. If this was serious we probably start hearing about it on Sunday or Monday at the latest and we've got all the gory details by now.
I bet Mike Freeman is the guy who leaked it on Bleacher Report. I absolutely HATE Mike Freeman. The guy is a troll of the highest order and writes terrible articles just to get page views. FIRE MIKE FREEMAN!!!!
this all makes way too much sense Bradway but I keep coming back to the fact that it could be career ending. if we don't know anything we have to assume his career is over.
Rich CiminiESPN Staff Writer Jets WR Eric Decker (knee) and CB Darrelle Revis (groin) are both at practice with helmets, stretching with the rest of the team -- an encouraging sign. Decker is in such a good mood that he's playing air guitar as Stevie Wonder blares from the speakers.
