Considering the guy spent some time in Triple A shows the Rockies weren't all that confident in this guy either but he is showing that he just couldn't handle playing in NY.
Wow Rockies win 3-2 in 11 innings to go up 2-0 in the series, and win their 19th out of 20 games  Go Rockies!
Wow this team just keeps on winning, they are young and have an oppurtunity to do something special. They have a great young pitching staff with Francis, Jiminez (who has been sick his last 5 starts) and throw in Spier, Corpas and Fuentes. The crazy thing is the only FA I believe is Kaz and I bet they resign him. I watched this team all summer and knew if they got their pitching together they'd be really good but I had no idea they'd be 2 wins away from the World Series good.
Wow Arizona had two on nobody out and hit into a double play in the first, and had runners at first and third and hit into a double play in the second! Still 1-0 Colorado after 1 and a half
For the Rockies' sake, I hope they don't win this series in 4 and find themselves sitting around like the Tigers did last year.
Gotta agree, although they had a four day break between the NLDS and NLCS so it seems it didn't affect them that much. However, if they sweep Arizona and Boston-Cleveland goes 6 games they could have a LONG wait between games
Poor TBS - they broadcast 5 playoff series, and at this rate they will end up being exactly 1 game total more than the minimum.
A bloop single in the fourth put the Rockies up 2-1. The inning stayed alive after a fielding error and Holliday just hit a 3 run shot for the 6th run of the inning and the Rockies are now up 6-1 hmy: Absolutely unfreakin believeable! Go Rockies!
The Rocks have exploded for 6 runs in the 4th.... Seth Smith with another big hit by a pinch hitter. Holliday now with a 3 run homer. 6-1 all with 2 outs. Oh boy it appears Colorado is going to the World Series.
Looks like the list will go down to 4 teams that haven't made a world series Texas, Washington, Seattle and Tampa
Yeah Washington is 0 for 2 because the Senators didn't make it either. What's amazing is that 3 teams that came in the league within the last 15 years will have made the World Series yet the Devil Rays can't even avoid last place. What's even more amazing is that should the Indians beat the Sawks they'll play the Rockies. Why is this important? Because they lost to the Marlins in 97 who came into the league the same year as the Rockies. Talk about strange...
what's worse is if the Rockies win the WS, 3 of the 4 expansion teams will have won a total of 4 WS, but in the same time period the Mets couldn't put together 1 WS winning team, nevertheless have only reached once.
