yep. He was starting the first game I attended (this was after I got his autograph), and he jacked a three run homer. hero of the game. the next night Josh Fogg pitched, so of course the Rockies got destroyed, but Ian came in as a sub later and I went crazy cheering for him even though the Rockies were losing by like 8 runs. The people still left in my section were staring at me. :lol: keep in mind, this is coors field, in the 9th inning of a game where the pirates were blowing the rockies out. carroll is a role player, but he hit the sac fly that got Colorado into the playoffs. as for Taveras, I have a jersey-style Willy Taveras t-shirt that they gave out the second night. I'm superstitious about it, because they always win when I wear it. Weird how the only time I ever go to Denver is followed by a ridiculous winning streak.
TBS might've had the worst postseason that any Network has ever had. They only broadcasted 1 game over the minimum since every series was a sweep other than the 4 game Yankees series. They could've had 27 games, but they got stuck with 17. hah
To date, MLB officials said that TBS’s 16 postseason games rated ahead of ESPN, ESPN2 and Fox through the same stage last season –17 contests through the third game of the NLCS, relative to viewers 2+: up 4%; persons 18 to 34: 16%; persons 18 to 49: 10%; men 18 to 34: 19%; and men 18 to 49: 7%.
that was huge. what a game. I watched the whole damn thing except for a few times in the middle when I changed the channel for a bit. probably didn't get great ratings though, because it went until after 1 AM.
