The Bills new ownership has revitalized the organization. They have a great CS and FO that had a vision and is executing it. I hope we finally hit pay dirt with our recent hires of Saleh and Douglas. I can only hope our owners will let this regime do its thing which leads to success.
good one. Jets qbs have been shit and are still shit. doing it the right way does not tolerate shit at the qb position. nothing to do with attention or reactionary. you advocate accepting shitty play at the qb position as the "right way to do it" i dont.
So the Jets make what both appear to be universally accepted as good hires at the general manager and head coaching spots but we MUST continue to incessantly whine and whine and whine.
The Bills started a full rebuild in 2017 - the year before they took Allen. We are just now starting our rebuild. They are 3 years ahead of us.
Doubtful. Sams below average arm would be a hindrance to Diggs ability to beat his man deep. It’s also no secret Robby Anderson had a better season. No matter how good the receiver is, it won’t matter until Sam learns how to read defenses better and stop making his usual 2 throws a game where the defense has an easy opportunity for an INT.
Jets fans seem to always think nearly every QB in the history of the franchise has been awful, like that's an indictment of the franchise. How many franchises have had more than 2 or 3 elite QBs in their entire history?
I won't speak for anyone else, but my disagreement with you has to do with your "assessment" that Darnold is "shit", and that he isn't good enough to win a SB with the right CS and talent. IDK what your qualifications are to make an accurate assessment, but I assume - until you show otherwise - they're no better than mine or anyone else's here. I've been "watching QBs" since Namath was a rookie - almost 60 years - and I don't claim to be anything like an expert, but I've seen lots of different QBs, with lots of different abilities and methods be successful. Given the major obstacles Darnold has had to deal with in his three years coming out of college, I don't accept anyone's "assessment" that he's proven he can't succeed, unless that assessment is issued by Douglas and Saleh. And not to claim that Darnold can be as good as Steve Young, but who knows? Here's some reading to enjoy about Young who according to your measurements should've been drummed out of the NFL while he was with the Buccaneers and never gotten a shot with the Niners: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Young
Quarterbacks don't develop in a vacuum. There are no prepackaged Hall Of Fame quarterbacks in any draft, in any year o,n any planet. Is that simple enough for you?
He's good enough that I'd roll the dice, but he would also have the odds unfairly against him. We're talking about bringing a rookie QB onto a team that is overhauling schemes on both sides of the ball, doesn't have an established center with experience in the scheme, doesn't have a top tier runningback to lean on when the passing game isn't working, is supposedly hiring an OC that has never called plays before, has a rookie head coach whose background is defense, a piecemeal group of WRs, and since they apparently are planning on installing the WCO, will need to learn a ridiculously complex base of terminology for his new playbook. The arguments I've seen that are supposed to compensate for all of this are that we have a lot of draft picks and a bunch of money under the cap limit to bring in a bunch of talented and somewhat-talented players who mostly will also be newcomers to the schemes and coaches that are being installed, but they will somehow prop the rookie up and make his development easier. I don't buy it. And let's get something straight about Trevor Lawrence... as good as his potential is, when I have seen his team struggle, he's not the kind of guy that puts them on his back and wills them to a win. He's definitely not at the level of player that Andrew Luck was as this point in his career, no matter how many fancy words they use to describe him. Trevor Lawrence coming to this team would also have a lot of trouble adjusting to the pro game.
I did too. I thought with Bledsoe going down, the Patriots were fucked. No fucking way my luck Is that bad man. We just did, what, 20 years of Brady misery? Josh Allen will not be that. Not possible. I'm putting It out into the universe, whatever It takes, no way. Ha
It’s such a weird coincidence. The only people in the United States who don’t seem to think josh Allen is good alsojust happen to be either jets or patriot fans lol
