Great game...I knew it'd be incredibly close.

For the record, the only players I hate on the Padres are Ed Mujica and Kevin Correia. I had a feeling he'd choke.

Hopefully we'll see another great pitching duel tomorrow with Latos and Santana pitching.

We'll probably see a little more offense in the third game with Garland and Dickey taking the mound.

That was a great game, both pitchers were incredible.

CitiField has become a definite homefield advantage for the Mets.

Reyes seems to doing much better at leadoff and Ike Davis is a player.

Somewhere Mike Jacobs is crying in a corner. Oh well, we like Ike better.

It's going to be Niese on Thursday rather than Dickey - Dickey was moved back to Friday.

That's good news for the Padres and Jon Garland.

Mets catchers with 13 HRs a little more than 1/3 of the way through the season. Pretty amazing.

    Santana struggling this inning, however.

Bases loaded none out and only 1 run. Can't complain about that, but at this rate Santana's only got a couple of more innings left in him.

Easier inning for Santana, but it looks like the Mets bats have completely gone to sleep.

Mets offense goes comatose after the Blanco HR and they lose 4-2

What wrong with Santana? he is struggling out there almost everygame without his best stuff. Today his fastball was like 86 and the chang-up was missing the strike zone. Don't get me wrong he is still a good pitcher even with reduced stuff (because he knws how to pitch) but it's like watching Al Lieter later in his career.

    Oh, the irony.

    Give Mat Latos some credit...

    Wright fails once again.

I wonder if Reyes broke his collarbone on that headfirst slide?

Francoeur gets a pop fly single for an RBI, and then Tejada grounds into a triple play.

Wright gets a run in, and then Ike with an RBI single.
