    Jerry Hanging on by playing barely .500 Baseball while BobbyV goes to Baltimore.

    Absolutely brilliant job by Niese. Of course, yet another 1-hitter for the Mets - one hit away from a perfect game. I wonder if they'll ever get a no-hitter.

    He is a very good young pitcher. Today was not the first time he pitched a dominant game this season. I thought the Mets would win 2 out of 3 in this series. Couldn't expect a sweep because the Padres are pitching too well.
