Let's not get too carried away with department and job titles unless there is a particular reason you ignored the twenty people in the Jets' Player Personnel department, most with the word "scout" in their job titles. The Jets also have another nine between the Football Administration, Football Analytics and Player Development departments; the Eagles have none at all. In the interest of full disclosure they also have eighteen in the Scouting department, which is what this topic is all about. The Jets, it seems, don't have a Scouting Department at all. There's a lot of differences in how the teams recognize employees under the Front Office umbrella - that is the only thing that tells a lot. The Jets name security guards; the Eagles name plumbers and carpenters. Maybe that steamfitter in Philadelphia is the guy really making the difference in the W - L column.
That's a great job title! I have a brother who has lived on a small island in the Caribbean for over thirty years and has always said he wants to retire as the Minister of Happiness.
