I get what the OP is going for but for me it's more for how much it skews averages. I don't want to look at the actual numbers but just say the average YPC was 4 yards but then those big runs maybe make it 10 instead, that makes it seems like we were giving lots of significant runs but really it was just one or two. Doesn't mean you can ignore them entirely but just saying it messes with averages and the perception as a result.
