Tannenbaum not getting good reviews

Discussion in 'New York Jets' started by Drew, Mar 25, 2006.

  1. I dont find those quotes to be any kind of discrepancy to the job Tannebaum is doing. Acouple agents/fo's/players bitching about how he's hard to work w/?

Thats not always a bad thing. That means he's playing hard ball in getting this team's finances and personell in order.

I agree the moves this year were good by Tannenbaum.

However, I disagree that Washington took advantage of us. I actually think the Coles thing was shrewd by Bradway. He ruined it by dealing the 1st rounder he got, but the acquisition of the 1st rounder (instead of tendering 1st and 3rd, in which he would have got no action) was pretty shrewd in my opinion. As far as Hall/Thomas are concerned, they were UFAs.. They both got ridiculous deals. Morton.. we were screwed by the NFL being told we did not need to match all clauses. However, it was a KOR and nothing more so who cares?

Not saying we are back in the playoffs.. yes we have a long way to go.

Teams that make noise in the offseason never do anything. The Redskins havent got their ring. Baltimore has always made offensive transactions after thier ring and have nothing to show for it. This yr Cleveland and the Viqueens will be the same. Its not the moves you make its the smart moves. Right now its too early to tell.

I'm glad to hear this. He's pissing off the agents who thought they'd be able to pull the sheets over Tanngini's eyes in a trade or something, because they are both 1st timers in their respective positions.

    Good job front office.

I don't care to much about reviews, I just hope his decisions translate into wins

^AGREED, but...funny thing is, if the FO doesn't act like the "Same Old Jets", we get shocked complaints, like what's up with us. Amazing. Next thing you know they'll be calling us "rude" and "unreasonable". Good. It's NY. Swagger works for me.

^Well, you look up the word swagger in the dictionary, and there it is.

GOOD. Nice guys finish LAST. Bradway was a p*ssy.
There's a new sheriff in town, and if people don't like the way he does business they can go F- themselves!

Good I like reviews like this. Its like when you deal with girls, when they say you are so mean that means they like they way you are acting. Keep it up BOYS this is a new day in Jets History.

The media likes to create controversy. The whole Washington stuff in 2003 was pure BS and in hindsight showed that our FO actually didn't make such bad decisions back then.

Now we have young guys (though MT has been negotiating deals along with TB for years now) and they are sticking to their guns. They seem to know what they want to do and have a plan whether or not it's truly much different then what we've seen in the past or whether or not it will be successful remains to be seen but the bottom line is they are doing something and they are tryinig to improve the team.

good point, the old show was Bradway trying to pacify everyone and tell them what they want to hear.

new show= people with a plan and we only hear what we need to

    Poor guy can't win.

If he's tough with negotiations, he's difficult and blasted in the media

If he "lays down" and is easy (like it has been done in the past) he's weak and it the "same ole Jets"

These beat writers are so pathetic. The FO isn't giving them anything to write about so now they are getting desperate.

I say: Finally we have someone in there is knows what he is doing.

    Hats off to the guy!!!

And quoting an agent? They lie more than lawyers. Wait.... they ARE lawyers. As far as bringing Seattle in-what did Atlanta expect, that they had some kind of divine right to Abraham? I really hope--and suspect, that this Abe thing will blow up in their face.
