Not really sure what we could get if anything. What a waste of draft picks

Jags might trade for him to prevent Tebow from going anywhere else. They got beat by us for him in the offseason and he is the key to them selling out that stadium.

Gabbert for Tebow. One waste of a 1st rounder for another.....

Oh you have some postering going on. Of course the Jags are going to say they'll "consider" signing him if the Jets release him. But the Jets actually have the high card in this low card hand.

Why? The Jets don't HAVE to trade him, they can keep him if they choose and there's really nothing Tebow can do but hold out. The Jags have the low hand here because A) they have no QB. B) there is no sure thing first year starter in this years draft. C) The Jags owner has been very vocal about wanting Tebow. And finally D) The Jags need help selling season tickets and Tebow would do that. No QB, or any player for that matter, in this years draft will put butts in the seat just on hope.

Put that all together and even though the Jags know we'll probably release him. If they play their cards tight they might get a 4th for him, but most likely it'd be a 5th.

Thats assuming the Jets are smart and play their cards well.....but then again there's not much hope of that in thinking about it.

I think he is owed a lot of money next year under his current contract, I doubt there's going to be a bidding war. We should take anything offered and be happy with it or just cut him.

And what, exactly would be the purpose of the Jets forcing Tebow to hold out forever? All it would get them is bad press for needlessly destroying a popular kid's career (which they're already getting for destroying his season). He's not Darelle Revis, he plays five plays a game and isn't important to the Jets future anyway. Jacksonville's not a division rival, they're not a rival period.

A fifth-round pick ain't gonna be worth all the bad press this gets if it drags out for any length of time. The Jets have already been a clown show for too long, it needs to end soon. Besides, Jacksonville might trade for him to get him at his current contract (signed for two years) anyway, as opposed to having to negotiate a deal afterwards.

What a colossal disaster this situation has been. We lose a 4th round pick plus another pick, pay a part of his initial signing bonus all to try and sell a few PSLs.
Now we're gonna get nothing back for the kid.

What a joke this organization is.

It was fucking stupid to have not given him a chance to start. IMO we have 9 wins right now if he was the starter. For that alone Tanny and Rex must go.

Id love to make a package to involve a disgruntled MJD, who next season is due just under 5mill in the last year of his contract.

Highly doubtful, probably impossible. But we need to G'N'P with a better back than Greene

MJD will be just as upset with any new team as he is with the Jags if he doesn't get a new contract with more guaranteed money in it. He has a lot of miles on him so no thanks.

The Jets will release Tebow or let him play out his contract. No way another team gives us a pick for a "project" TE as he is clearly not an NFL QB.

I'm thrilled that the Tebow fiasco was a complete failure. Never wanted him here and I'm glad Woody has egg on his face as he should. Woody is a money grubbing owner who knows Jack Shit about football and has ruined this franchise with his "only interested in the money and not the trophy" mentality.

We need to clean house starting with the owner, but getting rid of Tebow and Sanchez would be a start.

The Rams also had some interest and although he was turned into a clown, he was hardly the " head" clown.

From what I've heard it's the owner of the Jags who is driving this. Should sell some tickets for him. Another owner who thinks he should be involved in football decisions ... that should work out well for the Jags.

Both franchises should join forces to become the New Jacksonville Jetguars

The ultimate abortion of a professional sports franchise led by Woody Johnson and that guy that looks like the Iron Sheik

at this point it appears JAX is the only team even interested in Tebow. If that holds true Jax won't give us anything and will just wait for his release.

The Jets better not just release him like they did Favre. I don't care what pick they get for him, they need to get something for him.

the Jaguars want him; if Tanny can't even orchestrate a trade to a team that wants him than he should be gone.
