Ha thanks. Like you guys said, all Tebow does is bounce back when things are down. Hopefully for you guys it continues in a QB friendly environment like SF or WAS. He did have has run which you can hang your hat on, but to use a cliché, the NFL stands for Not For Long league.
i don't think he is leaving. i seriously see a scenario where tebow does take the position change and ends up being here a while. call me crazy
Yeah, you were pretty even keeled and we appreciate that. I didn't agree with you either, but that is to be expected here. I tried to be respectful and stay away from personal attacks. Good luck to the Jets, but honestly I hope you get rid of Rex. I don't think I could root for a Rex Ryan team ever again.
Yeah I don't think anyone agreed with me in this forum  On Rex, that's really interesting to me. I gained a ton of respect from Rex by the way he has this team over achieving, hasn't thrown anyone under the bus, and hasn't revealed the inner workings of anything. He has manipulated the media pretty well too which is always nice to see in NY. I wouldn't mind Rex going, but I will be rooting for him if he does leave. I think he overachieved with the talent on this team which says a lot for a defensive minded coach. His defense is great lacking the best corner in game and a pass rushing LB. I think he handled everything well and from my view I trace the main problems of this team to the GM/scouting area and to the owner
@MMehtaNYDN Next domino in Jets QB situation: Tim Tebow will request to be traded/released after season assuming McElroy starts last 2 games, per source don't blame him at all. Try somewhere else then.
Finally We this is the first of many steps the jets must take in the goal of not being a complete laughingstock. Can't wait to click on the index page and not see the name "Tebowmania"
Tebow has brought in huge media attention. However, it's Rex/Sanchez/Tanny that have turned this team into a laughing stock.
It will continue as long as Rex Ryan is the HC. He promotes this type of behavior. Imagine Tomlin as the Jets coach. Would be completely different.
I'll take it a step further. There is no shortage of those that think Elway got rid of Tebow because of the distraction that followed him. Now we've seen it as a jet too. That's gonna drive his value down as an NFL player, not just as a QB. All that hooplah that surrounded him for... well, most of his football life... very well might have cost him from having a normal career as an average QB.
Nah, he only has himself to blame for the media frenzy that follows him. You don't get to wear your beliefs on your sleeve, do insanely controversial commercials that air during Super Bowls, write memoirs at age 22, do book tours, and hold press conferences as a back up, and expect to fly under the radar. Don't be naive.
Gotta agree there. Dude stuck his face in front of every camera possible. Found it odd that he was the face of the team. Do you recall the announcers before a game saying, "The houston texans take on... Tim Tebow and the New York Jets..." Still hadn't figured out when the Jets became TEBOW'S team. Dude did nothing to mitigate the craziness. Other than shooing the reporters away, I gotta wonder what else he could have done. *shrugs* Maybe not suck...?
