    Yep..

J&J must love to just throw good money after bad...they will have to honor those contracts even when things really start to get ugly and the Ls start mounting and they finally say "you 2 are gone"

I guess you can just talk yourself into believing you have hired greatness...pathetic ..SMH

It's not having a better team that bothers me about Bowles. Its that they as a coaching staff do the same dumb stuff over and over again. There is no discipline anywhere on this team. Bowels coaching also is a problem. Punting when he should be going for it makes everyone scratched their heads. The team is losing on the field but Bowles is blowing games himself. That can't happen on the pro level.

I think the issue or implication here isn’t that Harbaugh would be a bad Pres of FO. Frankly, I can’t see how someone’s of his caliber could be worse than what we have worse. Instead, I think the issue is that Harbaugh is the proven, excellent coach we desperately need. Consequently, why move him to a position he might be good at (and admittedly probably would be) when you can put him in a place we knows he excels at already? I think that is NCJets point (NCJ, correct me if I am wrong) and IMHO it is a valid question.

So I think the point here revolves around Cman’s idea of enticingly Harbaugh with additional power. But here I see my question: remembering that people tend to rise to their level of incompetence, are we all sure that we want to do this with Harbaugh? To put it another way, has Harbaugh had enough success to earn giving him all these powers? I’m honestly asking, but it worries me.

For example, when BP finally got all the powers he wanted it became clear he was a pretty mediocre GM. Then there is the issue of just loading too much on one person. It isn’t that I don’t get appealing to Harbaugh’s ego and it’s certainly isn’t that I don’t want him, but if we have to give him enough rope to hang himself it won’t do us any good to watch him dangle and twitch....

But what do I know? I’m typing on a forum and picking my nose intermittently while those football peeps are earning seven figures.... and picking their noses intermittently. :)

Although i have supported Bowels i am officially leaning towards replacing him and everyone he brought in. Looking at the Pats and how they r destroying the Fins is a testament to coaching. The Pats dont really have stars yet they consistently play well.

    Clean house.

Pay a franchise coach whatever he wants.

Look at what Nagy is doing for Trubisky. Done with this entire coaching staff. Bring someone in to help Darnold before it's too late.

It’s not a matter of paying, it’s a matter of identifying a good candidate whose philosophy is aligned with what it takes to be succesful in today’s NFL.

It absolutely will. You can identify all you want but you will have to overpay to get someone good to come here.

Don’t be an insecure fan. Waaah, nobody will want to coach my favorite team; my team will always be bad and I’ll never experience enjoyment. Did the Rams and Eagles have to overpay for McVay and Pederson? No, they didn’t.

Agree on both. Would love DeFilippo / Heimerdinger combination.
