Clarence Moore would be a great #3 or #4 WR, but I don't think the Ravens will give him up unless we overpay. Edit: Nevermind... just saw that he caught 3 passes in the last 2 years, and I'm still remembering him as that guy who had a couple great games in 2004, including against us. He's not worth a 6th rounder, and I'd rather get a fresh new prospect.
Clarence Moore is awful, so don't even bring him up. Baltimore thought the same thing in the redzone, but you might as well make Jumbo Elliott eligible if you want to sign this guy with his stone hands. Hell gimme a Randy Starks. He's an excellent player only he's been the 4-3 undertackle his whole career so I doubt he can handle our nose spot. Bobby McCray is an excellent player but you can't give up a first rounder for a guy who has never even played in our system, atleast IMO. Jake Scott and Ryan Lilja are also two excellent guards, but they primarily zone block with Indy so I'd be sceptical about going after them.
What's the story with Copper, the Saints WR? He had some decent performances when Horn got hurt last year, no?
Max Starks would be the big RT we need, but a 1st is too much, and I doubt Pittsburgh would give him up.
Copper looked pretty solid in a couple of games last year for the Saints when Horn and Henderson were out. He is young with some upside....why not? You know I love Starks for a 3rd rounder. Don't know if he would fit our Def though.
I agree, that is a very good idea. If we could get Stacy Andrews for one of our 2nd rounders (very late ones too), we could look all defense during the draft. Meaning we could get a CB with our 1st pick, and OLB with our 2nd rounder and we would have used our other one on a guard who will be better than anyone available there.
Hell, we could almost draft before the draft. 2nd on Andrews = Monster RG. 3rd on Starks = New starting DE or 2nd on Tommy Kelly = New starting DE Of course, then we'd lose precious draft picks.
