We don'nt know for sure, but from what I've read so far, Andy's indicated he is thinking of hanging it up. Who knows? You're right about Abreu. I didn't know that until last night. You're underrating Posada as a defensive catcher. He calls a very good game, and has improved his gundown game. Granted, he's not the best defensive catcher in the league, but he's up there. And the key is: who would you replace him with? Molina? I really hope Mo is back, but I don't know. It is a positive that he submitted a proposal to the Yankees before they contacted him. I really want Joba in the rotation, rather than closing. (I wonder if they'll resign Vizcaino?)
The question is will this be good or bad for Torre......Could coaching the Dodgers taint his Hall of Fame bid as a manager. The Dodgers are not going to give him a $200 million dollar payroll. He is really going to have to manage next year.....something that I feel is not his strong point. He great at managing egos in the clubhouse and dealing with the press but his managing skills are not that great. I wish him luck and will probably keep an eye on the Dodgers next year to see how he's doing.
Torre officially introduced, Mattingly and Bowa to bleed Dodger blue. Yankees West is alive and well. BTW, Levine STILL sucks.
