The only need we have is for depth on the OLine. Nobody is going to trade away their back ups on the OLine. Everybody has the same need.
Well, for a start if we're going to trade for anyone at the deadline it's going to be for a player who can make an impact, not a just in case back up. As has been said already, given the importance of picks right now there's no way they will be given away for someone to carry a clipboard.
if you are talking about what i said, it isnt a joke. thats seriously the only way we would add a player of impact. somebody has to get into legal trouble for this team to make a trade.
Trade the 2011 Jets for the 2010 Jets, please. Seriously, we will not be making any trades before the deadline. We are stuck with these assholes, so they best get their shit together. I expected 4-3 going into the bye week. Three road games with one on the west coast and the other two against playoff teams is just too much to expect a good record.
We shouldn't trade any more picks. Lets hope the FO hits a homerun on the 2012 draft because we need some quality depth and still have some glaring holes to fill (RT, FS, OLB)
lets trade schottenheimer, ducasse, hunter, and conley for a new punter, 2 traffic cones, and a clipboard with a few 10+ yard passing plays on it
Trade Cromartie for some draft picks and ride out the storm this year No use getting something for our draft picks not a win now mode. just dump him now! I cant stand that lack of press coverage on his part... Espically after watching last game(pats) and he never once looked like he jammed him at the line
It's just one game but it seems we're missing Bryan Thomas a lot more than I initially thought we would
this isn't MLB or the NBA, NFL trades are very rare so there simply is no reason to be discussing the trade deadline as if it is a realistic means to improving the team mid-season. in football the team you start with is generally the team you finish with.
For those talking about trading for a back up QB it will never happen. They are committed to Sanchez 100%. Bringing in anyone is both a waste of resources, and a cause for unnecessary drama. They last thing the team needs is a QB controversy. An OC controversy on the other hand ...
so true...unlike other sports, it takes a lot more than just picking up a random telent and throwing him on the field... months of studying and preparation go into understanding what you have to do on each play and adjust in a split second to audibles... im afraid were going to have to work with what we got
I like the idea of shopping Cro... But we won't get shit for him the way he's played all but one game.
Mike Tannenbaum poops on the idea that mid-season trades are rare, and rarely work. He poops on a lot of standard practices in the NFL actually. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it is Cromartie.
Trade? For what? We need picks next year, not give them away for someone who will be cut in 1-2 years anyway. If your talking trade away some of our players for draft choices, them I am all for it. We must keep Revis, McKnight, Dbrick, Mangold,Conner, Wilkerson ,Ellis, Holmes,Keller,Powell,Siona, and Wilson. These are the only players getting better, and have not reached their full potential or are solid team members with a chance at pro-bowl in years to come, or are pro bowlers now. Everone else if you agree with me, can be used as trade bait at the end of the season to seriously up-grade the team on both sides of the ball. Did I miss anyone?
This isn't Madden. We're not going to be able to just trade players away for valuable picks, even if the front office wanted to.
I dont give a fuck take what u can get this kid is garbage and we all no it.... Him playing 10 yards from a receiver or 1/2 yard he's the same nim-wit cant press cant cover and LOVES making penalities and itt was our own fault not to let Wilson be 2
