Ridley is solid but I think at some point you would prefer a guy like BJGE who you know isn't going to put the ball on the ground...ever.

Funny thing is they have the same number of fumbles lost this year.

(yeah I know BJGE has a long history of ball security and Ridley had problems last year)

49ers had a lot of fumbles/bad exchanges and were fortunate to recover most of them

The Gore TD was a perfect example of that. It's funny but Kapernick went to UNR so you would think the weather wasn't much of an issue but I followed his career being located in the same state and I do not recall any Wolfpack games where the weather was never as bad as it was last night. Usually some cold weather but nothing like that.

Absolutely, and I'm pretty sure Belichick feels the same way. Ridley looked like he was really thrown off by the weather conditions the other night, and he'd better get used to playing in that kind of slop if he's going to stay in NE. It's supposed to be an advantage when you're the home team, not a detriment!

That play was so typical of how this game went. The 49ers got the ball on that drive on a fumble (I believe) where the ball popped right into a player's hands. (Sort of like Thanksgiving.) Then they fumble the snap, Gore calmly picks it up and walks into the end zone without being touched.
