Tennessee and San Diego with the late comeback road upsets. Detroit has 40 seconds left to go 50+ yards.
Rivers>Eli.... wait, rephrase... Rivers>>>>>>>>Eli. and anyone who says that Eli is better because he has a ring know not of what he speaketh about.
pick 6 by Stafford. Josh Wilson also wanted to pad his stats. Seattle with a late absurd cover. Stafford picked off 5 times, the last one going back 62 yards. 32-20 win for Seattle.
Warner became the first QB since Gary Danielson 31 years ago to throw 5 picks one week and 5 TDs the next.
I got that game wrong because of the Wilson TD. 9-2 this week, only got the TB and SEA games wrong. 72-54 for the season.
Rivers is probably marginally better than Manning. Statistically, Eli actually had the better game today. And if you're going to argue that Rivers game winning drive puts him over the top while ignoring Manning's Super Bowl ring, you're a funny person.
Not for nothing, but Manning's SB comeback drive required a lot of luck: (a) the play easily would have been (and definitely would this season) been blown dead prior to Eli escaping. (b) Tyree's catch. I'm not taking anything away from Eli. He's proven he's clutch and can lead comebacks. But so has Rivers. I wouldn't base Eli's entire career and evaluation on one very fortunate game-winning SB drive, just like I wouldn't base Rivers on today's comeback.
Jaguars beat the Chiefs. Expect a heavy dose of Jones-Drew next week, but the Jets should roll into New England at (5-4).
That's basically the point I was trying to make. People like to pump Eli up to be something he's not because he's Eli Manning of the New York Giants, and people try to knock him and make him out to be an incompetent child because he's Eli Manning of the New York Giants. Realistically though, Rivers has had overall better statistics since becoming the Chargers starter. Both have had plenty of ups and downs, moments where they look like they're becoming sure bets in the Peyton/Brady mode, and moments where they look like rookies out there. Eli's lows have been lower, but his highs have also obviously been higher. If I had to pick one to be the QB for a team I was building, I'd probably pick Rivers, but it wouldn't be without second thoughts.
We should've rolled into the Bye Week at 5-3 (really 7-1). With the Jets, there are no guarantees and the game isn't over at any point. Ever.
stupid play by Newman costs Dallas and makes it 3rd and 5 for the Eagles McNabb throws it to Maclin, went off his hands, up in the air, picked off. Good pass, results in an INT.
they just said it was Columbo called for the false start, and then Collinsworth says it was Flozell who flinched. I think he's confusing his tackles.
Dallas has it first and goal at the three. After the INT, Dallas was able to move the ball a little better against a defense that hasn't been off the field much. Choice runs it in. 7-0
